Dinner table discussions

Warning: Spoilers
As a teenager I enjoyed the movie very much...it was a bit intense for the younger children I'll admit and I believe the company should have given warning. However, I found the movie to be very entertaining and quite moving. I laughed a lot throughout the duration of the movie and I even cried during the scene where Mumble goes crazy! I felt that the underlying themes were absolutely wonderful. Although the trailers were a bit misleading, it's nice to go to see a movie where animation is not just used for frilly entertainment.

I recommend this movie to anyone above the age of 10 to 11...It is one that should inspire enlightening conversations and even debates around the dinner table! The main themes of learning to live together, even with major differences, and accepting those of a different belief hit right on for me.

Bravo to the voices of our delightful and musical friends. Brittany Murphy did exceedingly well...I had no clue that she could sing decently. As a lifelong Robin Williams fan, this is his best voice over yet! Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackson were wonderful as usual. They stepped out of their normal shells and left the audience with a new perspective.

Immediately after the movie I bought the soundtrack.

I left the theater tapping and wanting to save penguins!
