There are two elements in the movie that are outstanding.Aamir and Kajol.But then,they are the kind who can elevate even the most unworthy of projects into the viewable kind.And all that this movie offers is a chance to watch,arguably,one of the most talented and sparking pairing in recent Bollywood.
I'm not too sure what it was that Aamir Khan envisaged in this project.The character is flat,the theme too sketchy and the whole crew mediocre.Kiron Kher,though competent is not a standout.Rishi Kapoor for a change is not irritating.And the kid could have been lot more lovable had he not tried to endear himself to the moviegoer with his "dippendiddle" thing.That about finishes off the cast.
The movie does not build on any relationship except that of the Aamir-Kajol romance,and that too from only Kajol's viewpoint.No reasons,justifications or a throwback to Aamirs cause.The wooing of Kajol is crass,but that is just my personal feeling.One refreshing thing though was the minimum fuss that Kajol kicked about on sleeping with Aamir.
Oh.And also visible on screen were Tabu and Lara Dutta.
The movie does not guarantee laughs nor thrills.A bland movie one would say.The music is again run of the mill stuff.Influences of XXX and The Eye of The Needle can be seen to anyone who cares.
