Dylan : A Good Tribute by Scorsese
23 December 2005
Warning: Spoilers
With this much archive footage, facts and factoids existing about Dylan out there, there's always a danger that a documentary movie about him gets drowned in mass of raw information. But this is Scorsese!

He dramatizes the information flow through the movie, starting from Dylan controversial gig in London in 60s while performing one of the most important songs of his, "Like a Rolling Stone"; a clever and glamorous opening.

I gotta admit that the two disc documentary (almost 4 hours) can easily overwhelm you with too much information. But with enough twist and turns in how the story is told (like where Luther King's speech and the assassination of JFK is briefly mentioned) and lots of humor in Dylan interviews, one can enjoy the film easily.
