Pipo en de Parelridder, well i've seen it several times. Why you may ask? Simple because the children, age 4 and 7 love this movie. And that's exactly the audience this movie is made for. As an adult i can understand that and love to see the children enjoy this neat movie. No fighting included, no scary moments but instead there's some tension build in for... little children.
When i was young like say 5-7 Pipo was on the television in the Netherlands. It was all black and white in those days. My brothers and sisters loved to view it just before we need to go to bed. And from that point of view and remembrance i was curious myself to see this movie. And i really was disappointed, one of the main characters that i remember from those days, was simply left out of the movie. While Kluk Kluk (that's the name) was really one of the main characters in the series. I missed Kluk Kluk very much in the movie. Well that and a too simple story made it a disappointment for me. But as i said when i started, the little children loved it a lot, and to be honest, that's the audience this movie is made for. Although i can't wait till they grow over this phase and move on to another movie genre!
I gave it a 4, but to be honest if my children would have voted it probably would have been a 10
