Disney Channel’s comedy-drama “Andi Mack” will end after three seasons, the network said on Wednesday.
The series will return for its final episodes on June 21 and air its series finale on July 26.
“‘Andi Mack’ was a labor of love for a room of impassioned, inventive writers, a talented and dedicated crew, and an extraordinary, miraculous cast who inspired us all. We had the honor of breaking a lot of new ground for Disney Channel,” said creator and executive producer Terri Minsky. “We were its first serialized show, its first series centered around an Asian American family, and its first to feature an LGBTQ character who spoke the words ‘I’m gay.’ But the best part of making ‘Andi Mack’ was our audience, who let us know we mattered to them. The series finale is for them.

If you thought the story of “Bohemian Rhapsody” was nuts, “The Dirt” and its look at the formation of Mötley Crüe will really rock you.
Mötley Crüe was one of the most notorious ’80s hair metal bands in the country, arguably known more for their antics offstage and their lavish, outrageous performances than their music. “The Dirt,” a new music biopic based on the salacious autobiography by the band and Neil Strauss, taps into that insanity.
“The fans? They’re dying for some anarchy. So let’s give it to them,” one of the bandmates says in the film.

Mötley Crüe is made up of Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Vince Neil. And they’re played by Iwan Rheon (“Game of Thrones”), Douglas Booth, Machine Gun Kelly and Daniel Webber, respectively. “The Dirt” also stars Pete Davidson and Leven Rambin.

Animation veteran Brenda Chapman is poised to make the jump to live-action with Come Away, a high-profile fairytale that’s considered a prequel to both Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland.
Bringing the worlds of Wonderland and Neverland together, Marissa Kate Goodhill is the creative mind behind the screenplay, imagining a scenario in which Peter and Alice grow up as siblings, living under the shadow of an elder brother who, tragically, dies in a car accident and sends the pair on separate paths as they each deal with despair.
It’s an intriguing blend of two classic tales, and Deadline posted an official synopsis that gives us an inkling of the adventure that Goodhill is plotting.

Disney has released a new trailer for their upcoming TV movie remake of the classic 1987 film Adventures in Babysitting. I loved that original movie mostly because, as I've previously stated, I had a crush on Elisabeth Shue.
Disney's upcoming remake looks horrendously awful. The story follows two babysitters, who are played by Sabrina Carpenter (Girl Meets World) and Sofia Carson (Disney’s Descendants). They go on an adventure through the city looking for one of the kids that they’re supposed to be taking care of.
The trailer features the two characters who find themselves on stage in a club in some kind of freestyle rap battle and it’s just one of the worst things ever. My kids are going to want to watch this, but I think I’ll just show them the original film instead.

Elisabeth Shue’s 1987 film Adventures in Babysitting is a classic. It’s one of those movies that I used to to watch all of the time when I was growing up. I totally had a crush on Elisabeth Shue!
Well, the Disney Channel made a remake of that movie and the first trailer for it has been released. The new movie stars Sabrina Carpenter of Girl Meets World and Sofia Carson of The Descendants as two babysitters who have lost one of the kids they’re supposed to be taking care of.
The movie looks exactly like what you’d expect from the Disney Channel. It looks nowhere near as good as the original film, and you certainly won’t be hearing the line, “Don’t fuck with the babysitter,” in a Disney Channel movie.

One of the most well-noted elements of last year’s hit Easy A — in addition to Emma Stone, of course — was the script by Bert Royal. Fox Searchlight has taken notice of his work, with Variety reporting that the studio has optioned his spec script, A Thousand Words, with the screenwriter set to make his directorial debut on the film. Meanwhile, Shailene Woodley, who can be seen later this year in Alexander Payne‘s The Descendants, has been picked to star.
The story is centered on “a national essay competition that sends three ambitious teenagers into a sexy game of one-upmanship.” The film will be produced by Michelle Manning of Mm Productions, as well as Royal’s manager, Dana Jackson. Comparisons will obviously be made to Easy A, but this sounds like a somewhat larger project than that movie (at least, in terms of logistics and plot). I’m not...

Oh No! More than one trade news piece in one article can only mean one thing! Bonus music video time! But before we get to that, let's unearth some dirt on what's happening around this stupid town called Hollywood. First up, some guy I've never heard of will be starring in the new Mad Max film. Exciting! Let's find out more: Nicholas Hoult is walking "Fury Road," the new "Mad Max" movie from series writer-director George Miller. Zoe Kravitz, Teresa Palmer and Adelaide Clemens also are in various states of negotiations to join the actioner. The movie is set a short while after the story detailed in 1985's "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome," which keeps Mad Max, the character originated by Mel Gibson, relatively young. Details are being kept quiet, but it is known that Hoult's character is named Nux. Kravitz, whose character's name is Five Wives, Palmer and Clemens are...

Veteran screenwriter Shane Black (seen above left), who most probably know as the director of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, will next direct a film titled Cold Warrior for Universal. Black has been dormant since Kiss Kiss in 2005, and this time he's not directing a script of his own. Cold Warrior's screenplay was written by newcomer Chuck Mondry and is being produced by Michelle Manning, David Greenblatt, and Anthony Bagarozzi. The story follows a spy from the Cold War era who comes out of retirement to team with a younger agent from the new school to confront a domestic terrorism threat orchestrated by Russia. I'm not sure whether this is a dark comedy or not, but it sounds like it'll be an action drama more than anything. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was an unbelievably underrated film. So I must say it's great...
