Inside Man (2022)
Some parts are so stupid
The bad:
28minutes in and you're doing the biggest face palm of your life..
it was such a stupid reason for him to say "it's mine" to protect a pedo because that pedo was suicidal. No one in their right mind would jeopardise themselves and their whole family to protect such a person.. even if they are a vicar.
And Janice became so annoying and unsympathetic that I even started rooting for her to just die.. huge disappointment there.
The journalist was also the worst journalist I've ever seen on a show. The questions she asked were so brain dead at times.
The good:
The serie still managed to keep me hooked and had some really intense parts that kept me going especially the part where the vicar tries to get the confession from Edgar in the bar and Edgar responds with "that's not mine".
Even though that I could have done a better job with this miniseries I still don't regret watching it.
Kim vs Kanye: The Divorce (2023)
One sided documentary
When I see a documentary I want commenters to point out the good and bad from both parties but the commenters are literally making Kanye sound like an angel who has never done anything wrong and how Kim went from a d-lister to a-lister because of him?? Even if you don't like kim she was already an a-lister in 2012 wtf? Each year the kardashian grew in fame whether people liked it or not..
It's so annoying hearing them talk and they seem so hateful??? Uugh
Personally I think they both have flaws that are obvious and also good sides.
But they only focuses on Kim's bad sides and Kanye good sides.
Whoever set this documentary up should never make another one..
AlRawabi School for Girls (2021)
Better than I thought it would be
SPOILERS:
Just finished the series.
I felt so bad for Mariam in the beginning and later on I would think that she goes too far, but then when the flashbacks appeared of everything Layan put her through, I actually understand why she did what she did.
Layan seriously pushed Mariam to the point of no return... Mariam was in a state where she had lost her parents respect, being left for ''dead'' by her bullies which she then got blamed for and have the whole school call her insane and bully her because of her diary that Layan leaked..
Giving Layans situation she should have thought of that giving how insane her father and brother is and how easy it is to destroy her. And I know some would say because of that she became a bully but Layan actually seemed smart enough to figure that out..
The ending was wild, only one gun shot was heard so it's gotta be the boyfriend who died otherwise there would have been 2 gunshots for sure. ( no witnesses allowed )
People commenting about the feminism in this movie, what did you expect? This is not a serie filmed in the states, europe etc it is an arabian series. I am moroccan and that's how it is in most places (some countries are even more behind than others) and this was even a classy school were the girls had to be 'pure' so even being alone in a room with a boy could become scandalous...
One thing I would change: I wanted to see more of Roqayya and either that she changes for the better or comes back with pure chaos somehow.
