Actor George Zouvelos as Commnander Franz Gruber
During the onset of the Second World War, the early stages of the war whereas the Nazi death machine is gathering and for internment and the extermination of Jews has spread across Eastern Europe. Franz Gruber played by award winning SAG-Aftra actor George Zouvelos who portrays a native of Slovakia who was drafted under nationalistic auspices and becomes a regional Nazi Officer. Gruber becomes horrified that instead of enemy combatants it is his innocent childhood friends, many whose only crime is to be Jewish, are now being gathered and railed to death camps by the Nazi SS. In the scene Franz turns to his younger brother Nico, played by actor Andreas Vougioukas, an amateur artisan painter, meeting him at a local pub to discuss joining the resistance in order to get back his love Miriam a violinist who had been captured during the night by the Nazi SS.
