Cleopatra
CLEOPATRA (18 minutes) tells the story of the ancient Queen of Egypt using colorful special effects derived largely from archaeological artifacts from Egypt, Greece, and Rome. This DV movie, produced using programs such as After Effects, uses the story of Cleopatra and her two Roman lovers, Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, to portray the interplay between the ancient culture of Egypt and the more recent Graeco-Roman world. Magic and myth are the real actors in this investigation into the Golden Age: the formation of the Roman Empire and the transformation of Octavian into Augustus Caesar.
