Soul to Keep (2018)
8/10
Great film!
2 April 2019
The group of friends seem to have an organic relationship, as it shows on-screen. They all seem very comfortable acting in front of each other. Having this chemistry between them really increases the feeling of authenticity in the film. I feel that the target audience of the film is aimed at college kids. Since there is a group of college kids in the film, the viewers get a feeling that they can relate to. I was very engaged in this film. It was hard to look away because I never knew what was going to happen next. Soul to Keep constantly had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know more.

Saint Judy (2018)

Timely film.

Warning: Spoilers
This film is a timely, emotional, and moving piece. It portrays a lawyer, named Judith Wood, who moves out to Los Angeles to start her new job. Later down the road, she ends up starting her own business. Her dedication and determination to help her clients is very heartwarming in this film. She represents a strong, independent woman who never stops fighting for her clients. Later in the film, she stands up against the United States Court of Appeals to fight for a change in immigration rights. Michelle Monaghan gives a remarkable performance. Saint Judy conveys a message that is very relevant to today's society. I think it is very important to watch because it illustrates an honest story of immigration. Highly suggest giving it a watch!!

Authentic, emotional film.
7 March 2019
"Life and Nothing More" is one of the most authentic and raw films I have ever watched. You feel as if you are watching a real-life event happen right in front of you. The set design and lighting of the film created a mood that fit very well within the story line. It expressed a low-income, struggling family. In addition, the acting in this film was remarkable. Andrew Bleechington couldn't have played the role better. His face throughout the movie showed lots of emotion and dramatic feelings. Regina Williams's acting represented the hardship of being a single-parent. She played the role so organically; it felt so real. Overall, excellent, original, and emotional film.

Number 37 (2018)

Intense, unpredictable film.

Irshaad Ally gives an extraordinary performance in "Number 37." He plays a paraplegic man who is trapped in his Cape Town apartment. His wife gives him a pair of binoculars to help him get through this hard time. Since he received the binoculars, he has been observing his apartment neighbors all day, every day. When he witnesses a murder, he begins to blackmail the killers for money he needs to pay off. This film is intense, unpredictable, and had me constantly on the edge of my seat. Highly recommend!!

Ominous, remarkable film.

This is a remarkable film. Neil Biswas has created a creepy, supernatural thriller with "Darkness Visible." Based in India, Ronnie uncovers a series of strangely similar murders correlating with his mothers. While Ronnie is in India, odd things begin to happen to him. This film is intense, spine chilling, and ominous. The scene in the asylum is horrifying. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys thrillers!
