Dating & New York (2021)

People are too harsh

I enjoyed this movie. It didn't follow the typical screenplay formula and I actually thought it was pretty clever. Some bits made me giggle and some of the direction was quite unique and interesting. It's not your typical romance movie but it was still enjoyable and I appreciate the artistry and creativity that went into making this. Watch this movie if you would like a nice and easy viewing experience that feels more like real life than most of the stuff that comes out of Hollywood.

On a side note: since when does IMDB require so many characters/words just to post a review lol I have nothing else to say.

One Of Us Is Lying (2021–2022)

An enjoyable watch

Gives me PLL vibes although I can't help but feel like these characters could have had some more development of their friendships. There were a few other things that I thought could have been done better but I'm really being picky. That being said, it was very enjoyable to watch and I would definitely watch a season 2.

P.s. Sometimes it was hard to watch because these kids made such bad choices.

Don't Look Up (2021)

Could have been an hour shorter

Could have been an hour shorter (honestly they probably could have got this done in 40mins) - movies that are longer than an hour and a half generally bother me and this was one of those movies. It really didn't need to be that long. It's also one of the weirdest comet/space/end of the world movies I've ever seen (and not in a good way). You have to wonder what the real message of this movie is.....

FBI: International (2021– )

First two weren't good enough to warrant a third

The FBI series isn't bad but I can't help but feel they coast off the success of Missy Peregrym and the Aussie guy from FBI most wanted. That being said, I will give this show a go as I like the idea of it going international. Episode 1 was good but not great. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

I know it's bound to get comparisons to the original movies but I actually quite enjoyed it. Not the best but definitely not the worst modern movie I've seen.

The Rookie: Control (2020) Season 2, Episode 17

This episode was extraordinarily well written. The dialogue was funny and believable. The story was gripping and the action was amazing. One of their best yet. Congrats to the writers for this one.

Long Story Short (2021)

A funny and entertaining story that feels like a breath of fresh air

This story was a delight to watch. It was funny, entertaining and different to a lot of the other Groundhog Day style movies. It has an uplifting feel to it with an overall inspiring message. It truely is a breath of fresh air, especially compared to a lot of the other movies that are currently being made and released. Safe to say I will be recommending this one to everyone I know. Such a pleasure to watch!

The Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021)

One of the best Groundhog Day style movies out!

I went into this with low expectations, thinning 'yet another example of how Hollywood has run out of ideas'. I'm gladly proven wrong with this one as I'm pretty sure it's one of the best, if not the best Groundhog Day style movie out. It's the type of movie that makes you want to live your life and not just watch other people living their lives on tv. Kathryn Newton seems to have great luck with movies, either that or just everything she touches turns out amazing. All in all it was a great movie and definitely worth watching for people of all ages.

Breath (I) (2017)

First half boring, second half disturbing

The first half of the movie was boring with its only redeeming qualities being the surfing shots. The second half of the movie involves a disturbing relationship between an adult and an underaged boy. Disturbing is really my only word for this, including how it was portrayed. A criticism I see a lot of people agree on is that I could barely understand the dialogue, and it's not the accents because I'm Aussie. This whole story left me wondering, what was the point? I honestly didn't get much out of it and could have skipped it all together. I so badly wanted to like it because I love Simon Baker. Maybe the next one.

The Finest Hours (2016)

Solid film that everyone can enjoy

I didn't know this was based on a true story until the end and it made it even more special. It was a truely beautiful and well made survival story, honouring the coast guard. My only critique is that it could have stood to be 30mins shorter.

Jerry Maguire (1996)

A good film but with some problems

It was overall a good movie and enjoyable to watch. The cast was amazing. My only problems with it is that I think it could have been shorter and it went in too many directions. Simplify and shorten, then it would have been perfect. But hey, it was a different time.

Friends with Money (2006)

It didn't really resolve any of the issues the characters were going through - it just kind of ended. Which I suppose is more realistic although it felt more like a super long pilot episode rather than a standalone movie

This was one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen - not just cinematically but the plot, the chemistry, the topics - it was incredibly well done. It's a 10 from me.

A bit cheesy, of course, but it was generally a really fun series. Easy to watch, enjoyable, interesting tangled family drama. I wish it was more than 8 episodes, I would have kept watching!!

Some of the reviews on here are a bit harsh - yes it is exactly what you expect from Liam Neeson but it was still enjoyable to watch. If your not too picky and generally enjoy his films, this one will be no different!! Kate Walsh was also really great in this.

The High Note (2020)

A great movie with great music

This is a really enjoyable movie - good music, good acting, good storyline, what more do you want? The only thing that fell short for me was some of the comedy, it could have been executed better or even better jokes. That aside, the rest of the movie was inspiring, well executed and enjoyable to watch. I'll be watching this one again soon and listening to the soundtrack on repeat!

Gifted (2017)

A beautiful and heartwarming film

This is a truely hard warming, beautiful movie. Chris Evans and the little girl had amazing chemistry and I can't say enough about how great he was. I would definitely watch it again and again.

What can I say? Kath and Kim are Aussie royalty. This movie is a classic and watching it years later, as an adult, I find it even funnier.
