1917 (2019)
Will Leave You Exhausted
This movie will leave you absolutely drained by the end of the 2 hours in the best way possible. The single continuous shot throughout the movie makes you feel like you are a part of what is happening which comes with the anxiety and anticipation of what is gonna happen next.
This is a visually stunning masterpiece and definitely a must see
The Wolf Hour (2019)
Slow Burn with no payoff
The praises from critics on this one actually baffle me. I have never longed for a movie to end as much as I did sitting through this one. I feel the writer had a bunch of ideas in their head for the direction this movie should go and could not decide on one to go with l. Can not recommend enough saving your time and money on this one
The Mule (2018)
Great story terrible acting
I have always been a huge Clint Eastwood fan but to me this movie fell flat. Between his over explaining of random life events to thrust the movie forward or the random scenes that brought the narrative to a screeching halt for seemingly no reason it was a rollercoaster but not in a fun or exciting way.
Overal not a terrible movie but I would save my money on this one.
The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978)
Only real fans understand
Only true Star Wars fans understand the complex socio economic understory of this masterpiece. Some see it as a simple holiday special. I see it as George Lucas fighting back against the consumerism of the late 1970's.
Finding out the back story of why Mark Hammils Luke is so obsessed with the sacred texts is a nice little Easter egg that you will find in this episode so look closely 🙂
The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006)
Reba stole the show
At first I wasn't sure what to think about Santa Claus III : The escape clause. But when Reba Macentire was introduced as Ms. Claus mother my jaw hit the floor.
While that was a great little Easter egg the real story is in the redemption arc of Jack Frost this brought a small glimmer of light to my dark soul. A complete story of love, loss, and then love again. Thank you Tim Allen thank you for giving us this gift this Christmas.
