Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
A reasonable viewpoint in the opinions full of hate and disappointment!
I can agree that the writing this season has not been as strong, but to label it as ruining the show is a total discredit to the Story, GRRM and the Two
main writers who have all done an incredible job over the years.
This show still stands to me as the best series of all time. Just because endings hadn't played out how you might think they will happen it doesn't mean the story is ruined. It means your viewpoint may be skewed to fit your story line bias?
I think the complexity of all the characters has still been there, the choices they have had to make have all still been there. I've been shocked and surprised multiple times this season. Only difference is it's just been in a short space of time rather than the multiple season build up. The foreshadowing has been there throughout the series, this is ultimately the climax of it. Of course the books will differ slightly but I think the main story will pan out similar enough.
In summary yes the last season was rushed, the writing not as good as it had been previously...but even with some character ending disappointments the show continued to throw in the odd surprise... dialogue still clever in parts and the way main story line planned out I thought made sense and fitting. Try to think of the series as a whole rather than series 8 in isolation.
The Greatest Dancer (2019)
Should be renamed to 'The most liked dancer'
Thought I'd give it a go because I enjoy dancing shows and I also like the BBC. What a treat - not!
Absolutely pathetic: not even laughable. Change the name to 'The Most Pitiable Dancer'. Shockingly mediocre participants - audience, judges AND contestants (except highly trained tho' older ballet dancer).
Whoever thought it was a good idea giving the audience the right to vote acts through needs their heads checking. The most credible and qualified act didn't get through but the Cheryl Cole tribute dancer does? Also the (commendable) downsyndrome boy goes through? Both above hardly 'the greatest' dancers, just a popularity contest.
Pathetic.
