I Feel Pretty (2018)

Beautiful and original

I love love love this movie. Amy Schumer is hilarious. I'm not sure why people are so eager to pretend Amy Schumer has no talent. She obviously does. This movie is simply beautiful as is the case with most of Amy's projects. Funny with a BEAUTIFUL and STRONG message about confidence, self acceptance, friendship, relationships....the whole package. I found myself rooting for all the main characters and yes the jokes landed perfectly and even with all that somehow the movie didn't become a farce. I recommend this movie for everyone. It's a must watch. Great story, great humour, and a very very satisfying resolution.

Luckiest Girl Alive (2022)

We've seen and heard this story a thousand times before but it's never been told like this. This is something different. Something beautiful. I really loved it. Mila Kunis really delivered. Not that I ever had any doubt in her acting ability but I can't remember the last time I saw her in a movie that wasn't a comedy of sorts. There was nothing funny or quirky about this movie. It's a story covering the very serious subject matter of a woman who went through something profoundly life altering, tried to bury it, realised she couldn't and tried to do something about it instead. Trauma is not an eas thing to live through. I appreciate this movie for covering this delicate subject matter with tact.

End of the Road (II) (2022)

Not as bad as anti-woke sleeper folk claim

Seems like it's pointless using the ratings here these days. We have people using ratings to push their own political agend while claiming to be against movies with political messaging. Once you start seeing silly taking points like "all white where bad, all black were good" or "all men were bad all women were good" you just KNOW the reviews are crap.

This movie wasn't anything close to a one star review. It was entertaining, suspense filled and had wonderful performances. Could the script have been better? Yes. Did I enjoy this? Yes. Was I happy to see Beau Bridges? Yes!!! Should we ignore sleepers or anti-woke jokers (or whatever they're calling themselves) and people with an obvious political agenda of their own when they use unfair ratings as a weapon against seeing things that make them uncomfortable in movies? Yes! Most certainly yes. I mean if you see a r*cist on TV and feel attacked then there's something very obviously wrong with you.

By the way this movie is a solid 6/10. I gave a higher rating in attempt to balance out the unfair 1 stars.

The Woman King (2022)

Captivating

This movie was very different from what I expected and pleasantly so too. There is so much talent packed into this 2hour movie and it is very obvious all the people involved put real effort into this. Being Nigerian myself, I appreciated the real effort put into sounding like we do....the mannerisms, the accents, the clothing....it was all beautiful. I understand a bunch of funny people are hung up on the fact that this movie isn't "historically accurate". Please remember this isn't a documentary. It's a beautiful story told in spectacular fashion. Lovely cast, lovely cinematography. Please watch this at the cinema. It's worth it.

It's immediately obvious to me that most of the negative reviews are from people who didn't bother to see the movie. Emma Stone and Emma Thompson were both beautiful in this. It's very entertaining and very well done. There was one twist that I simply didn't see coming but which made perfect sense in retrospect. Mark Strong is a wonderful actor and has a small but powerful role in this. Watch the movie for yourself and ignore the negative reviews. I understand some people want to remain in the past forever but luckily the only thing constant in life is change. Enjoy.

This was beautiful in an unexpected way. If you were expecting a straight up continuation of the series you'll be disappointed. What we got was much better. You'll laugh, you'll cry. Simply beautiful. Thank you for this.

Lovely story, beautiful music, wonderful voice actors, spectacular scenes. Loved every second of it. I love how Disney movies give every character a chance at redemption. Nobody is ever all good or all bad. Not everything is black or white. All in all, a lovely story told beautifully. Solid gold.

Wonderful, entertaining, and an asthetic accomplishment....even the music is exciting. There's also a lot of good humour. I'm not sure what people are complaining about. The acting is superb, the costumes are amazing and the story is interesting. People really need to stop giving silly reviews as a way of protesting perceived "political correctedness" or "feminism" Watch and judge fairly. This wasn't ever meant to be a documentary. Stop being ridiculous.

I love this movie. Yeah the twist in the end was predictable but the journey was still worth it. Emilia Clarke is a good actress. I love the rest of the cast too. Beautifully done movie. Definitely deserves a higher rating

The movie is fairly well done. The script could have been better though. Perfect cast, perfect custumes and locations. I'm really proud of the cast. They did an excellent job. We just need better script writers.

People giving this movie 1 star reviews are full of it. This movie is very well paced and entertaining. Yes it has it's plot holes but that doesn't change the fact that it's a beautiful story. I love the cast. The villain and the protagonist play well off each other. Give the movie a chance. It's good

This was an amazing movie. It's a shame that some people are so angry all the time. People giving this movie one star rating have a special bias against the Christian Church (not against religion) and it shows. This movie will appeal to both the religious and non religious. It's a beautiful movie that just happens to be about a Christian community. The medics, the school students, the fire fighters etc all contributed in great ways to help this boy. To claim that this movie is propaganda is just bitterness speaking. Go watch this movie. Ignore the haters

This is a lovely movie. It's a clean love story for the whole family. Yes N. Sparks uses the same formula.....yes it's not entirely original but it's damn effective and it works here. I love it. It doesn't hurt that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are the main characters either. I love it.

I'll be honest. The first episode was crap but after the second episode I was completely hooked. The female leads are amazing and have good chemistry. All the main characters are very cool to watch and I love all the layers that have been created. Ignore the haters and give this show a chance. It'll surprise you.

Concussion (2015)

I tried....I really did but the accent ruined it

I normally love Will Smith but his accent in this movie threw me off completely. This is simply NOT how Nigerians speak. I wish more effort had been made to get the accent and the mannerisms right. Being a graduate of the university of Nigeria myself I was excited to see Will potrayal of the character.....the accent threw me...enjoying anything else after that was impossible.

I found this movie to be quite enjoyable. It's not quite as good as the original but it holds it's own. Emily blunt as Mary Poppins is amazing. I think Julie Andrews would be pleased. I guess my only disappointment is the lack of memorable songs. But that's okay....it's hard to capture that magic twice. Twas a great effort. The cameo got me in tears. I love Dick Van Dyke.

I'm not sure why some people are giving this movie such horrible reviews or if they even actually saw the movie. This movie was amazing. I can honestly say it's worth the money. The tribute to Stan Lee was beautiful. I knew Brie Larson would be great and she was. Go see the movie for yourself if you haven't.

Creed II (2018)

This movie is beautiful. What I love most about is they focus on actual characters. It's not just pointless fighting and bloody scenes. It has heart. It was a joy seeing old characters come back.....brought back many lovely memories. It was amazing. Creed has the same heart with Rocky...I love it.
