Midnight at the Magnolia (2020)
So bad I have to warn others
I'm seriously taking the time to review so people don't waste there time and if you really need to
Watch the first ten minutes and the last ten minutes so you don't feel you've wasted any of your lifetime
Hanyô no Yashahime (2020)
The story so far...
Inuyasha was my favorite anime in high school and remains one of my favorites many years later. I am beside myself knowing I get to watch their kids in this spin off. While I await to find out the answers everyone is asking (what happened to Kagome, Inuyasha and sesshomaru and who is the twin girls' mother?) I am so happy with the set up so far and I am already in love with our three heroines. I think I've cried through both episodes so far just knowing the family connections and seeing it all come together. Yashamine:Princess Half-Demon is the silver lining to 2020.
Mulan (2020)
You honor us all
This movie was fantastic!! While transitions felt somewhat rushed( hoping for an extended version down the road) the story still held true to the original as well as the legend. Obviously a lot of people weren't paying attention to the fact that this version was mirroring more of the folklore and also emphasized on mulan and women finding they're courage, their voice, their place amongst men and not behind them.
Yifei was the perfect Mulan. She is Mulan. I don't believe they could've found someone better.
I loved the symbolism of the Phoenix. The fighting choreography was incredible. The scenery/setup beautiful. The father- daughter relationship tugged on my heartstrings and I loved the ending.. more powerful I think. Just incredible
Black Is King (2020)
Art at its finest

Fruits Basket (2019)
True to the Real Story combined with the charm of the 2001 Anime
I have read the Entirety of the Fruits Basket manga a multitude of times. It is beautiful, dark, captivating. When I watched the 2001 anime I also fell in love with the new, brief, sugarcoated way of telling the story. However I have always desired the original story be told as it is and seen through till the very end. Oh the end.
This 2019 remake is dead on and I couldn't be more excited To see it all unfold onscreen. Finally. The real story. And I love that most of the original voices from the 2001 anime are in it because I was already attached to the sound of those characters. I couldn't be more happy about this revamped Fruits Basket with the original tale. It's one of those things I never thought would happen and yet here it is
Dreams do come true
