Fool Me Once (2024)
Who knew you don't need to shave if you're a British Military Police Sergeant?
Berets are worn at various angles too. The British military seem to be a slovenly lot in this show. And I'm pretty sure the MP was handed a brass casing & then asked to check to see if it was the same bullet that killed the sister.
The plot was like one very long, very twisted noodle that went all over the place. Red herring after red herring after red herring. Then more than one character is having flashbacks or are they hallucinations?
I binge watched the show just to get it over with. Did I figure out who did what to whom? Yes. The opening scene had me looking at her husband as a murderer fairly early on.
In Search of the Port Chatham Hairy Man (2019)
Bear attack victims in waiting
Annoying camerawork where you are meant to feel the "expedition" is constantly being watched by Bigfoot.
Boring.
Every time the guy wearing the norwester cap handles the shotgun I cringe.
The female in the group is used as set dressing.
Nothing new. Bears live in the woods. Lots of filming of bear scat. Pointless bashing on trees meant to encourage a response from Bigfoot. Yada yada yada.

Doctor Who (2005)
Series 12 onwards
Poorly written, poorly acted, preachy, borderline pantomime, unwatchable children's show. How a franchise was utterly destroyed by Chibnall.
Rest In Peace Amy, Rory, River Song. Glory days in comparison to the drivel dished up by the BBC in recent years.
Greyhound (2020)
I felt I was watching a computer game
The special effects in this movie are on par with a computer game - that is, you are always aware you are watching digital graphics and it's somewhat distracting.
I can only put it's high rating down to people being desperate for entertainment during the covid lockdowns.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Having seen Seasons 1 & 2
A couple of things bother me:
Too much narration for a start. The show shouldn't need a narrator if it's done right. If it needs to constantly explain the plot, something is very wrong.
At every point when haste is required (as in a battle) - characters will suddenly stop to stare into each other's eyes for an infuriating amount of time. Lives are at stake, but hey, let me stop & look into your eyes for 30 seconds.
Sheesh!
Reef Doctors (2013)
Woeful
Rubber snakes being milked by the star says it all. Avoid. This show has had it's release date pushed back several times, now we know why. It's because this show is woeful. McCune's "star power" can't save this turkey. Nice locations can't either. Perhaps the producers hope that overseas sales will keep the show going, with lots of shots of white sand, clear water, native animals pad out proceedings - but the poor storyline, poor acting and below par special effects (rubber snakes for example) can only see this show crash and burn with no chance of a second season. The show finally premiered (after being pushed back several times) on Network Ten to the lowest viewer figures for a new show ever recorded! Obviously the show will be relegated to the wee small hours and won't be seen again on Australian prime time. You Have Been Warned!
