NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Unearth (2022)
Once great series now almost unwatchable.
This series was my favorite show for 18 years. Now I can barely get through an entire episode. Sean Murray & Wilmer Valderama are the only reasons to watch. I think Katrina Law was interesting to watch on Arrow but her characte here is poorly written and woefully underdeveloped. The dialog for all the characters seems forced and not at all realistic. That interplay between the characters was this series major plus. The one aspect that set the series apart from and above other series television. To me. That's gone now. I was never one who criticized Emily Wickersham, I enjoyed her portrayal of Bidhop. Yes it was different from Ziva but still interesting to watch. I know i will get in trouble with die hard Abby fans but I always thought the character was a bit silly. I thought Kasie was written better originally but wuth each episode becomes less believable. Its through no fault of the actor playing her. Even more devastating to the series that the departure of Gibbs which has severely damaged the show IMO is the poor writing quality of the last 2 seasons. I see myself giving up on what was once the best series on TV.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service (2003)
Sad at how this series is now
NCIS was my favorite show for 18 years. I watched & in fact own every episode of the series. Unlike a lot of fans, I enjoyed the performances of all 3 actresses, Sasha, Cote & Emily. And I suppose I was one of the few mega fans who didn't care for the character of Abby. It wasn't any fault of the actress, I just felt the character was ill conceived & out of place.
Having said all that, the writing for the show now, I find to be terrible. Sean & Wilmer are fantastic actors and I enjoy Rocky & Brian's performances too. The loss of Gibbs & Ducky has been, for me, too much. I think the series would have been much better if McGee & Nick had become the leads, with hopefully several appearances each year by Ziva . I rooted for this reboot this year as I have every cast change in the past, but the magic is gone for me. I now only watch the show rarely & always come away disappointed.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Docked (2021)
Not loving it
I want to start by saying that I'm not one who has been unkind about previous cast changes. I like Bishop just fine for instance and didn't yeah I'm for instance and didn't get bent out of shape when Sieva left but these latest changes I have really enjoyed very much very much I think the show would have been better had they allowed Tim gay to just headed up the team with an occasional appearance by by Gibbs they're trying much too hard in my opinion with this new format. Katrina law has been a bit of a disappointment to Me Too! I like her on arrow but she's not really doing much with this role this role just my opinion.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Everything Starts Somewhere (2020)
Excellent story
Love this episode. Thanks CBS should make this into a new series with the early careers of Gibbs and ducky great idea for a show NCIS fans would love it
Blue Bloods: Family Secrets (2020)
Wow! An always great show got even better!
Blue Bloods is almost always a show that hits a home run each week. This week was incredible even for an extraordinary series like this one. Kudos to the young actor who plays Sean. He did a fantastic job & I hope they expand his role in future eps. The new addition to the family is a great idea to expand storylines. I was just blown away by how great a story this was. In 10 years I've only disagreed with one major plot point, the death of Linda was a mistake then & I still think so now. A new grandson learning to be a Reagan will be so amazing to watch! If I could give this ep 11 stars I would. Probably one of the 2 or 3 best eps of a great series. This is how tv should be done.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Blarney (2020)
Jimmy & Kasie shine.
Nice to see Jimmy & Kasie up frount. I enjoyed the ep very much. Brian has come into his own as an actor & made Jimmy Palmer unique from & distinct from Ducky. Diona is much more enjoyable to watch to me personally than Abby, who was a cartoon figure most of the time. Ms Perette did what she could but the writers made it hard to believe a 50 year old Goth as part of the team. This ep gave both actors plenty to do & I enjoyed it very much. Hope we are still watching & reviewing this series for many more years.
The Flash: Death of the Speed Force (2020)
Bring back Flash
The writers have ruined the character of Barry. He no longer acts like the hero of the story or even the main character. The idea of Wally going all zen was really stupid imo. Get back to superhero & villain stories & use Barry as the focus with help from Ralph & Cisco & Caitlan. Try to avoid Iris as much as possible. That character is way too much of the shows focus. Hope Wally doesn't come back if the writers intend to use him as the all knowing conscience for Barry. Ep was better than the all Iris all the time that we've seen lately but still no where near the quality of the earlier seasons. Flash needs to be the star of the Flash.
The Flash: Love Is a Battlefield (2020)
Too much Iris.
Want to see much more of the Flash. Elongated Man would be great too. This feminism theme needs to go away. Last 2 eps since crisis have been worst of the entire series.
Mrs. Brown's Boys: A Wonderful Mammy (2019)
Extremely weak writing
I found this ep to be about the worst ever. Very few laughs, nothing to set it apart from the dozens of wonderful life take offs over the years. Dermot & Buster gave me a chuckle or two but all in all, predictable jokes & an undinstinguished take on the Christmas classic.
Downton Abbey (2019)
Disappointed
I'm a huge fan of the series but the movie was not very good. The storylines were not well written, historically not believable & just poorly developed & executed. Thomas behaving the way he did toward his employer would have gotten him sacked. Lady Mauds story was so obvious & the servants rebellion would have brought shame to Downton & would not have been tolerated. Thomas was a gay man in 1927 & would have ended up in prison had he acted that way. I thought the entire film brought down the reputation for quality that 6 years of drama on television had deservedly earned.
Batwoman: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Two (2019)
Too much batwoman
With Tom Welling & Kevin Conroy on board, how can the writers justify using Ruby Rose & Batwoman in the forefront. Weak character & actress not my cup of tea. Supergirl is given the lead over Superman which is just silly. Batman & Superman are the DC universe. Why cant these writers acknowledge that? Tom Welling was amazing, wish they reboot his series for a new generation.
Arrow: Welcome to Hong Kong (2019)
Didn't like at all.
I totally disagree with most of the reviews. Hated this ep. No story and totally wasted the hour. At least no felicity which is best part of this season
The Flash: Dead Man Running (2019)
Not another Wells!
Episode is ok. I thought it more filler than some other reviews but not bad. Iris story is boring & another Wells is almost enough to make me stop watching.
The Flash: A Flash of the Lightning (2019)
Not bad could've advanced story more
The mIn thing I've liked so far is no silly version of Harrison Wells. That character way past his sell NY date. Ralph is great, best on the show now.
Arrow: Starling City (2019)
Alternate earth with good cast.
No felicity & Moira alive! If only this could have happened 4 or 5 years ago. Good ep, giving us a look at another earth
....
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Out of the Darkness (2019)
Thos is why NCIS can go on forever
This was great episode for fans. The writing was first rate as usual & delivered strong performances from the actors. Wilmer did a particularly outstanding job, reminding us of his deftness with comedic lines. I thought Cote gave a strong performance as well, as did Sean & Emily. Cant wait until next week. This is what a season premiere should be. As a fan, thanks to the cast & crew who did not disappoint!
Arrow: Confessions (2019)
Terrible episode, boring
I couldn't disagree more with those who liked this episode. I thought it was the worst in a long line of bad episodes this year.
