Spaceman (2024)
This film does not deserve this average rating
What a beautiful film and what great performances. The film really does not deserve the bad rating. Adam Sandler is sublime in this weird and wonderful drama. Maybe people thought this was going to be a daft comedy and didn't get the film. That's the only way I can explain the mixed and low rating. I urge you to watch the film without any expectations and let yourself be pulled in by the beauty of it. Paul Dano's voice acting and Carey Mulligan were brilliant as well.
(If this hasn't convinced you, I didn't look at my phone once during the whole film which is a usual occurrence, so it must be good!)
Sex Education: Episode 3 (2021)
Why
I love this show, but as so often I have to wonder why? Why oh why do so many shows have to include a "kill the cat" scene? And such a horrible death as well. Anyone with a pet, anybody who likes animals or anybody who would like to enjoy a show without another random dead/killed/tortured cat skip the intro or close your eyes. We don't deserve to have our fun ruined by some writer who doesn't like cats or whatever that was about. :(
I give the episode a 5 because I love this show but also hate the handling of random pet deaths.
Dancing with the Birds (2019)
This makes me happy.
Envelopes you with a sense of joy and wellbeing. Wonderful narration by Stephen Fry and the only remotely negative thing is that it could have been a bit longer. I really hope there'll be some more similar shows.
The Umbrella Academy: 743 (2020)
Headaches galore
Loved the whole series and this episode but Vanya's forcefield gave me such bad headaches and left me feel nauseous for the rest of the episode.
Night on Earth (2020)
Great narrator, beautiful show
Amazing narration by Samira Wiley and beautiful visuals. A wonderful watch with brilliant pictures! Don't understand why everyone is hating on the narrator. It's just dramatic and suspenseful, fits the tone of the show perfectly
The Crown: Bubbikins (2019)
Brilliant episode
A brilliant episode, giving us more insight into Prince Phillip's past and family. Beautiful acting by Jane Lapotaire and Colin Morgan.
The Crown: Tywysog Cymru (2019)
Josh O'Connor shines
Josh O'Conner shines in this episode of the Crown. His performance is extraordinary and the final scene in the theatre was beautifully and tragically sad. The best episode so far, only Episode 3 comes close to this perfection.
