Anne (2016)
The child actress Beren Gokyildiz is brilliant
I loved Beren Gokyildiz in Kizim and she was well matched with the cast and the plot was wonderful.. I watched Anne just because Beren Gokyildiz stars in it. I have to admit that her acting ability in Anne is so extraordinary that many of the adult actors seem like props.
Unlike many of the very talented Turkish child actors, her appeal is not from being cute or adorable, although she is very lovable. Her talent lies in her ability to an incredible range of emotions. She is like a child with an old soul.
Bas Belasi (2021)
A truly refreshing romantic comedy and detective stories that is fast paced, quirky.
The acting is fantastic and stylized to resemble the old shows where couples would solve mysteries together. It is very different, and fast moving. The friend who is thrown in for comic relief does get annoying but the side stories and relationships, plus the crime solving presents every week with a new mysteries to solve as our star crime solvers grow closer to each other. This series deserves to keep going well after the summer season. There are so many crimes for these two to solve and for us to watch them become closer all the time.
It would be a crime not to continue this series.
Mucize Doktor (2019)
Sensitive Portrail of Autistic Genius, Romance and Mdical Drama
Taner Ölmez is brilliant in his portrail of an doctor who is an autistic savant who had a traumatic childhood and his struggle to be accepted and accept love, while dealing with the drama of the hospital and of course the plots to get rid of him.
It is not your formula dizi with the romantic challenges, villains, secrets, devious mothers, revenge and misunderstandings. The hospital setting is like most hospital dramas with one or two patients at a time and a small cast of doctors and nurses and lots of drama and side relationships within the cast.
I have had very smart students with autism and had the pleasure of seeing them make friends, be accepted and contribute. One student could not join in the circle and hold hands and used to twirl around when we were seated but eventually with the acceptance of his peers, that behavior stopped. Taner Ölmez perfected the gait, facial expressions, and speech of this character.
It is a feel good series as you watch Ali gain acceptance, receive love, and become more confident.
Her Yerde Sen (2019)
Sweet and Light
I am enjoying this series because it is light, romantic, funny and the emotional conflicts or misunderstandings are resolved quickly, unlike some series that prolong the tragic drama for 4-5 episodes.
