I love it (I don't want it to get hurt, but I don't love it)

Maybe I'm not in the right mood?! There's only 30 reviews at this point, made up of reviewers saying they hated it and others saying that the haters are wrong because they aren't watching it correctly.

Any genuine top reviews of a well recieved show/film will tell you what they loved about the show/film, they'll go on about it's good points and how it grabbed them etc. On checking the high scoring reviews of 'the Completely made-up Adventures of Dick Turpin' you'll just read that you have to keep in mind other funnier shows that have been on in the past and remember how good they were as you are watching?!?!... and that the reviewers that didn't like it are narrow-minded and don't like comedy, that it's not supposed to be very good etc... all red flags.

Well honestly it's not great, but... if you are very young and have never watched a funny comedy before you're going to like it somewhat.

I still love all the cast though who are amazing and will not hold it against them and it's well produced. I blame the writers, they need not worry though as I have no influence on anything people might commission them to write in the future.

Nice little ambiguous Movie

Top film. It's a simple black comedy about a girl that escapes incarceration and the people who want to help and or hinder her. Really nicely filmed in a very indie style. It's quite a neat film for film lovers, an oasis of cool music, all your fave camera angles, characters and colours. No one tries to save the planet in a magic suit from Grifendor or whatever.

Like I said and to summarise; Top film Simple Black comedy About a girl that escapes incarceration.

Blade Runner: Black Lotus (2021–2022)

Don't listen to the haters gatekeeping Blade Runner.

Jeez, the book by Dick has little to do with 'Blade Runner' if you go by what is 'allowed'. There's only been 2 episodes so far and I am gonna watch the third for sure (as will everyone of the people downvoting it on here 18 of 20 reviews, ha). It's a little predictable I'm thinking It's going along the lines of 'Westworld', but I'm gonna see if there's a twist or some more story lines. The animation is fine and rich and well done and interesting and it is what it is, I find the fight scenes to be great and they do have a 'computer game feel' but also a realism, which I think looks mint. All animation should have it's own feel, and this does. It's got the replicants it's got the masive billboard lady. It's got the rainy neon noodle bar, there'll be some arigami at some point I hope. If this was even remotely bad I wouldn't be happily anticipating the next episiode. Arigat0 Adult Swim.

I was just looking at IMDb about this show to try and determine if the clip I just watched was as bad as I thought. IMDb is full of all sorts of stats and figures that I can look through. This show is amazingly popular. When I look at the stats page, I can see that it is universally loved by all demographics, from little girls to old men. Nearly 18'000 votes from all walks of life. Wow... it must be an amazing show. Let's check out the reviews... oh...just 75 user reviews. Unusually only 0.41% of the voters cared to comment on the show. Half of those reviews are from 'negative Nellys', but nearly 15000 voters give it a 8/10 or more resulting in just 37 user reviews about loving the show. oh...most of the 37 reviews are people defending the show from any negativity or saying it's similar to another show they liked, even though it's crazy wildly popular with every man and his dog. Let's get some quotes that are actually about the show from it's most avid and vocal fans on IMDb;

W Black: "I don't know how to accurately describe the tone and feel of the show"

YS: "The story starts to make more sense after about 3 episodes"

Todd: "I found some of it slightly annoying", "It was mostly Dirk Gently himself I found fairly annoying", " I got to the point that I was willing to 'go along' with every premise"

Ugly: " I wasn't too into the actor playing Dirk, because I found British comedy well...bad"

Tapio: "The show is not quite perfect but I feel it comes close enough"

Samayotga: "if you don't like, not just weird, but BIZARRE shows, you won't like this one"

San: "is just interesting"

Fishdef: "The only characters I actually enjoyed are Todd's sister Amanda and the Rowdy 3, while all others were either annoying or forgettable"

Thanks IMDb. Finding the truth in your pages can be more interesting than watching the crap that gets produced for the screen. I suspect your stats are being corrupted somehow.

Great show from Oz. Found it randomly on UKTVPLAY which is a site I also found randomly so I'm double lucky. Only 4 shows each 20 odd minutes long from 2012. The moths do some great acting I thought. Thanks Sam. There's not much more I wanted to say. IMDb insist that if I'm going to write about something on here it better contain a minimum amount of lines. I'm fortunate enough to have visited Australia about 15 years ago and they really do like 'the Bill' (as Sam mentions when he sees the kid with the lion face) it was very popular. We might think that's weird but they wonder why we like Neighbours and Home&away. blah blah

Pompidou (2015)

4 episodes in and Wow… talk about dross TV.

There is only one good element to this show and that's the puppet dog. The dog is the creation of the people that helped to make another BBC show called 'Mongrels' (epic win). To watch Pompidou just to enjoy the puppet character Marion though would be like; eating crap just to enjoy a piece of sweet corn.

BBC Controller of Comedy Commissioning Shane Allen said: "The concept is wonderfully imaginative, the writing hugely inventive and it's the perfect vehicle for Matt – one of a handful of performers in the whole world who could pull this off."

Well.. it isn't, it isn't, it may well be and he couldn't. The "writers" last "wrote" for Chucklevision BTW.

Danny Cohen should have stopped this sham… was he on holiday?

Cinamatic Excellence

To watch this film at the pictures was a delight, I feel pretty lucky to have done so. I've been a cinema goer for about 35 years now and can't remember leaving so satisfied. I've just discovered I was in there for three hours I would have guessed I was in there for less that two, it flies. This is an amazing movie, amazing to me (of course). Besides being a brilliantly scripted, fast moving, funny, gruesome, well paced, romantic, gory, feel good (& any other adjectives you can use to describe really good films) flick. Django Unchained is a very cleverly captured cinematic smörgåsbord of top quality and brain melting scenes, dreamy vistas and perfect sets populated by heaps of some of the best actors alive today. Thanks Quentin.
