Shaitaan (2024)
A lost opportunity
Watch it for Madhavan's brilliant performance. And ofcourse, the initial suspense the film is successful in creating. Because the screenplay and story in the 2nd half doesn't do the concept any justice.
Some excellent acting Ajay Devgan, Jyothika and especially Janki Bodiwala, the actress from the original Gujrati film. Though the movie takes its time to establish the characters, the family dynamic (sometimes a bit too Bollywood and over the top) and to build the intrigue around what motivates Madhavan's character, they fail to deliver on it. The climax sequences had me yawning. The ending was unexpected, but ruined again by unnecessary over-the-top dialogues. All in all, it was a pretty forgettable Thriller.

This is exactly what you need
The show brings about a serene calm when you watch it. The delicate theme mixed with the intricately flavoured characters, makes it a bowl you just can't keep down.
Searching (2018)
A fresh, brilliant thriller!
You'll never leave the edge of the seat. Yes, that's not an exaggeration. The story and direction is excellent. Every detail is amazingly handled. It definitely will take a re-watch to observe those. But it's worth it.
Hagane no renkinjutsushi (2009)
Opus Magnum
You wanted to know why we watch anime? This. This is why we watch it. To be given the chance to be part of an amazing journey: full of laughs, chills, tears and a hell lotta redemption. FMA:B soars when it comes to character development, immersion, world-building and the soundtrack, oh my glob the soundtrack! Nothing can match the vibes of this show.
Tales from the Loop (2020)
It's subtle, humane, grounded and yet way outta this world.
Though a skeptic at the start, it slowly broke me down. It had elements I was very familiar with, being an admirer of Dark and Black Mirror, which made it tough for me to accept this immediately. But I wasn't expecting to get so drawn into the story. Each character, explored delicately. Every emotion, weighed and handled beautifully. The amazing cinematography gets you immersed in the world. It's a worthy story to add to your mind's trinket collection.
