Luther: The Fallen Sun (2023)
Not good, but watchable.
While I'm always happy to see Idris Elba on screen, this movie unfortunately left a lot to be desired. This flick was chock full of "Child Leia running away from kidnappers in the Obi Wan Disney Plus show," humbug and had laughable fight scenes throughout. The final fight scene between the ladies and the Estonian baddie was particularly disappointing, as they could have easily ended the confrontation by using any of the sharp weapons at their disposal.
The red room plotline was also quite silly and poorly executed. Luther's deductions felt implausible, underdeveloped, and or "whatever I guess they got to keep the plot going" leaving the viewer feeling confused and unsatisfied. Additionally, the reasons behind the blackmail victims' compliance with the psychopath's demands appeared vague and daft.
Overall, I don't know who this movie was for nor know what's the point of it existing. While Idris Elba's existence in a movie is a bright spot, it wasn't enough to save this lackluster film.
Chik loh dak gung (2002)
An enjoyable movie that I'd have to give a D rating too.
This is the type of movie I can enjoy despite its flaws. Although Naked Weapon's flaws are quite obvious - the writing, dialogue, & plot are all sort of off. I found its positives, the set, the fights, & the actors looking really cool compensated for its flaws a decent amount. So on balance, the movie was interesting - & would be an interesting movie to reboot.

My opinion almost never differs from the general consensus, but for once I must put my foot down for humanity This was a ludicrous masterpiece of a watch as twas intended. Do not suffer from alllodoxaphobia (the opinions of others); just enjoy this ridiculous show. 10/10 would show to friends and family. This is god-tier trash (putative trash). This is show tis theophany! Tis a godly show. So spiritual! So worthy! So wonderful!
Captain Marvel (2019)
Stakes are important for these superhero movies. This one.. tis a weird splice of life thingo.
The Captain Marvel movie is okay. I'd give this movie a D (65 ish) ~ C (75 ish). I think Brie Larson has potential. Too bad the story was bland; albeit this story may have been necessary for the Marvel's cinematic universe. I wish Carol Danvers had more Jackie Chan fighting moments whilst fighting from a disadvantage. She was sort of boring overpowered. P.S - The gold and black outfit was cooler.
The Carol Danvers character had some charisma issues too, probably because they were going for an amnesia thingo ... idk.
