The Mother (2023)
I love JLO, but this is just c r i n g e.
Look guys, I love Jennifer Lopez (the mother) as an entertainer and even yes as an actor.
But why does she insist on making these cringetown and clichéfest movies?
The plotline is just boring and ridiculious: a bad ass ex-elite soldier trains her estranged 12-year old daughter so she can protect herself against bad guys.
I think she honestly picks these scripts so she can have an excuse to work out, because the only watchworthy thing is how beautiful and in shape she is.
It's a one time watch movie for her hardcore fans and I am afraid even they won't make it till the end.
@Jennifer Lopez, please fire your managment. They are just using you to milk money. Pick a team who cares about your legacy and future.
Boga Boga (2023)
Suspense-Slowburn-Plottwist
First of all the movie is very slow and most of the scenes consist of Yalin (Kivanc) being paranoid. He basically forked a lot of people over by stealing their money and he actually got away with it. So naturally Turkish people, being extra spitefull and triggered, have to have their revenge.
The funny thing is that even the police tells Yalin that the whole village will be hunting him down and that they will not help him. And that is basically the summary of the movie: angry village people trying to kill Yalin amd how he deals with it.
The suspence scenes are good. Eventhough there are a lot of unecesseray scenes Kivanc and Funda's acting remains well-round. The ending has a plottwist that tries to invite the viewers to a discussion about the power of money in Turkey.
Dancing Queen (2018)
Entertainment at its BEST
I wish I could give it a million 10s. It was so good: heartfelt, drama, emotions, suspense and even romance. What more do you need?
I watched the whole season in just one sit and now I am hungry for more.
Rupaul drag race alumni Alyssa Edwards has out done herself. I hope many more seasons will follow.
