Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson & The Band (2019)
Nice puff piece
I love the Band and watching this documentary made me really think about things and how it all turned out... Unfortunately, Robertson took all the writing credit $ for songs the rest of the band helped arrange and SING, causing an unnecessary rift.
Only after decades not talking does he sees his old 'best friend', Levon Helm, when he's unconscious on his deathbed. The only living member, Garth Hudson, is not interviewed. Net worth Robbie Robertson, $40 million. Garth Hudson, $1million..Hmm...Just sayin.
Mother! (2017)
Really?
Oh I'm so surprised how offended I got! Yay! Not! What a jerk off fest. Having to 'know what to expect going into it' should not be a prerequisite for a good film. There's your spoiler. See this film if you enjoy things that make you feel like crap, then ask yourself where the nearest mental hospital is and check in.
Jack Ryan (2018)
Another series about a subject we should all HATE to love
Everyone's killing everyone and it's ok as long as there's some politically correct platudinous subplot, by typically under informed liberal elitist American writers. They do ok in some ways, to be fair. They present characters well and with depth, but I can't think of any reason to watch this. I'd rather focus on and watch something that leaves me feeling positive and profound and thinking about the good in the world as opposed to this nightmare garbage.
