Traffik (2018)
Stupid People
Why do filmmakers create characters that act far more stupidly than any normal person would under the circumstances? Throughout this movies I keep becoming more and more upset with these actors. If it were still available, you could easily retitle this "Dumb and Dumber."
Yellowstone (2018)
What a waste...
Watched the first episode and kept thinking - Why should I care about this scheming bunch of rich jerks? Costner plays a tyrant. There is no one to root for here. Those with too much are fighting to keep what they've got no matter what the cost versus others just out for themselves. Funny a subplot was a vilification of "transients" spoiling the authenticity of the place, but isn't that what Costner and the entire rest of the cast is? They were just playing typical overate Hollywood caricatures. Apparently the hypocrisy was lost on them.
The Arbors (2020)
Horrible Movie
I have no idea what anyone involved in this movie thought they we trying to accomplish. It certainly wasn't to be entertaining. The lead character was so affectless in was painful to watch, particularly since the entire focus on the movie was on him. The camera lingered on this witless oaf's face. I couldn't even make it through the entire thing. Luckily I didn't pay to see this is a theater.
I Care a Lot (2020)
Despicable
I hated every character in this despicable movie. I didn't identify with a single one of these monsters. Watching it was like getting bashed over the head. It's only redeeming moment is Pike's character being shot and killed in the last scene.
The Fare (2018)
An engagingly beautiful movie
This simple, inspired movie may just be the most brilliant, romantic, yet ultimately sad film I've ever watched. It's definitely a movie to share with someone you love. Congratulations and thank you so much.
The Last Scout (2017)
Big Technical Problems
While the plot was interesting, the technical problems with this movie make it nearly unwatchable in the print used on Amazon Prime. Dialog recording is practically intelligible for far too many scenes and the CC is not synced as a alternative. For a movie that clearly had financing for CGI, releasing it like this is inexcusable. What a waste.
Cut Bank (2014)
Create the Screenwriter
Beautifully paced narrative with engaging characters and surprising turns. Patino really gave the director and the actors something to sink their teeth into. Thumbs way up!
