Onward (2020)
Good watch, a little too formulaic
More laughs than eye rolls but there was a few. I'm kind of ashamed I got choked up once, I actually said through the tears "Da**** Pixar". What can I say, formulas work.
One Punch Man: Wanpanman: Everyone's Dignity (2019)
The awesome climax of One Garou Man
This is Garou's season while Saitama sorts out his compulsive gaming habits, and he is killing it in the spotlight. Such a fleshed out villain that even the small fries he's pounding get backstories. This episode was brilliant and brings the hype for Season 3.
Shingeki no Kyojin (2013)
Not a big fan of Anime but this show has me hook, line and sinker
Only started this because I was sick and it was on Netflix. I was not and still am not into Anime (except OPM), but this show and the comics are amazing and epic. Great storytelling, character arcs, suspense, comedy, twists, turns, worldbuilding and emotion. On the edge of my seat for what happens next.
One Punch Man: Wanpanman: The Martial Arts Tournament (2019)
Faithful adaptation of the manga
I was so confused when I read this part in the manga, it wasn't my favorite. But it sets up some important things for some amazing payoffs later. I don't get people comparing this to GoT, this episode shows the reason it's not like GoT. Keeping all elements of the story knowing it will make more sense later, rather than only skipping to the exciting part.
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
10 for the doggos
A whole franchise could be built around a girl and her dogs taking on a cafe full of baddies.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
The one achievement of this episode was beating Dexter for worst finale
I don't blame the actors or numerous crew involved who did a fantastic job except for raising enough fuss to stop production and get this script sent back and workshopped by at least other writers. Whatever qualms I had with Lost's finale, at least they stayed true to the characters. This episode highlights the endless throwbacks to when this show was good with logic defying leaps in character arcs and left-field revelations. Revelations so stupid that they make you feel stupid for having allowed this show ~80 hours viewing time plus countless hours reading song of ice and fire backgrounds and lore. I hope the books will have better pacing and development (unless GRRM also signs a deal with the mouse), or else the conclusion to asoiaf is better left to your own imagination.
