La sociedad de la nieve (2023)
A Must Watch - Love & Humanity!
Apart from the factors of the true story of survival, incredible cinematography and brilliant acting - the movie gives us a very very special message to the Society. (As the title says).
Irrespective of our differences- if there is a common ground where we can agree at some point; then as a group, we are incredibly resilient and simply unbeatable. Unity & humanity together is impossible to defeat.
A message of great hope at a time when we are facing terrible challenges ahead of us. Lets spread Love across the globe 💙
I would've given 9 if the some part in the middle would've made little shorter. But nonetheless a movie made with heart and must watch. Netflix produced another brilliant movie.

Faactory (2021)
Not even worth of a rating!!
This film is not even worth of any rating. This has been a trend in India where you do fake ratings. A group of morons (probably sponsored by the film's production house or close allys) have abruptly just put 10 or 9 star ratings. The moment movie is started, within few mins you get to know how pathetic it is. For another movie called Flight (not the hollywood one, hindi bollywood one) has similar fake ratings.
Suggestion to save your precious 90 mins: Do Not even dare to watch going by the false ratings. And in case you still choose to watch it, Thank me later :)
Monster (2018)
Superb! Must Watch.
Very surprised to see the rating as 6.5; without keeping any kind of bias on your mind - if you just rate it as a movie: no one can't rate it below 8. A bare Minimum of EIGHT. Kudos to the director & the whole team.
Wonderful representation of a courtroom drama with absolute touch of reality. With an elegant, impacting & charismatic screen presence from both lead characters Harmon & Obrien (Harrison Jr & Jennifer respectively in real). Just loved it.

X-Ray: Selected Satyajit Shorts: Spotlight (2021)
Unreal Stuff!
Vasan bala does it again! The best among the lot (ie best episode of the four). Just loved it. The dialogues between 'the look' & 'didi' at the fag end just neeve wrecking. Must watch.
Fractured (2019)
Awesome
We all know how these kind of thrillers will end. Either in your reality or in an alternate reality. Similar to any psychological thriller. You can think of The Vanished for example. But still 8*, why?
Before you predict, you can't really predict. Before you think, you cant really be sure. Before you guess, you are jeopardised. That's why this is special. Till last scene, you're in the dilema of reality vs fiction. One of the most nerve wrecking thriller in latest time. You can't ignore this movie.
Director Brad Anderson in famous for his other thrillers too & now I plan to watch more of his creations. This was the first one I watched (among his movies) and simply amazed.

The Next Three Days (2010)
Intense, Entertaining & Intriguing
This is simply a gem. I'm thankful to the director for presenting us such an interesting & intense movie. From beginning Till the end - you will hold your breath. Simple yet complex. Entertaining yet Intriguing. Light yet heavy. Definitely must watch.
Acting wise everyone is superb. Special mention to Mr. Russel, he does it yet again. It really deserves a 10* but just gave 9 - because it is not probably in the all time cult movies' lists!
Recommended - A big Yes.
Snowpiercer (2013)
Unique concept
This movie is one of those which can be remembered for long. It starts with an expectation like a basic sci fi film. But as it progresses, the concept becomes clearer. The way different class systems existed/exists/will exist in our reality - is portrayed in an unique way. Its dark indeed.
If you like to watch a movie with new ideas & presented in beautiful frames, don't miss this one out.

The White Tiger (2021)
Such an amazing international thriller
This is not a typical bollywood film and masala movie lovers stay away. If you are a fan of dark movies or if not dark at least a fan of decnet nerve wrecking crime or thirller - this is a top pick for you.
After such a long time watched a brilliant thriller. Probably one of the best in 2020 & of course so far in 2021. Without any unnecessary item song or song or cheap slangs the movie holds your breath till the end. The dialogues, screenplay has been portrayed magnificently. Kudos to the director & team.
Also not to mention, acting wise 10 out of 10 for pretty much everyone. Priyanka chopra to Rajkumar or Mahesh to Vijay everyone is incredible including our hero (Balaram aka adarsh). Mind blowing 120 mins!

Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors (2020)
Empty Vessel
Only because of Pankaj Tripathi (and the actors too) the 1* is given.
Otherwise no story, no pace, no tensed moves - nothing. Its a disgrace in the name of thrillers.
Sometimes when the story wasn't moving at all OR why the accused never opened the mouth throughout- was really irritating & hugely disappointing. I was so frustrated sometimes, wanted to really ask the director- 'why this drama, just STOP'!!!
My worst Hindi TV series so far! Watch the season1 if you still didn't but dont ever waste your time with this one.
Recommend- a Big NO
The Perfection (2018)
Perfect Thriller (& Not HORROR)
A beautiful thriller. & Definitely not a HORROR. Could've given 8* but deducted 1* because of wrong genre was put.
Acting is nice. Story has little twist, twice. & loved both of them. Most importantly, it doesn't check your patience for something to happen - rather it holds the interest on the happening things till the end. Overall a nice enjoyable 100 mins.
Really suprised by some of the negative reveiws and overall 6 rating. This movie surely deserves more!

The Guest (2014)
All is well - excpet the ending
Well, till 70-75 mins out of 100 - this movie holds your nerves...till then, i was thinking the imdb avg rating should be 8+. But at the last 30 mins it proved me wrong. Another example where it almost failed - even after going in quiet promisingly.
Being said that, this is worth watching; but don't keep much expectations. Also there are mutiple notable flaws can be found in the movie. Like why the military special force will come with only 6 shooters OR why Caleb's sister doesn't call 911/discuss the matter seriously when she found something mysterious on David! Ignore them...
The story develops when an unwanted guest joins Peterson family and things keeps on happening. Acting wise everyone does it quiet well. & JUST Loved Dan stevens as David, his acting probably suppresses most of all the other messes created by the script. Soundtracks are nice too.
Recommend: Yes.
The Frozen Ground (2013)
A super exciting crime thriller
I have always been a fan of movies or series which are based true stories. But very of them are portrayed so clinically like The Frozen Ground.
It is actually based on the real-life story of Robert Hansen, a serial killer from Alaska that went uncaught for thirteen years! Written and directed by Scott Walker, this is a chilling story of Robert Hansen, a rampant serial killer in Alaska from the late 70s to early 80s. The movie shows in details how the APD officer Jack along with Cindy (the only survivor among all other victims) & his other associates tries to unfold the mystery. The diretor has done true justice to the story and never loses the grip till the end. Acting 10 out of 10 for all 3 main characters (Nicholas, John & Vannessa).
Note: I'm very surprised to see the rating as 6.4. Should've been at least 7.5 or so, if not more.
Recommend: Yes.
Jusqu'au déclin (2020)
Entertaining Thriller
In recent days watched some bad thrillers - even thought starting scenes for them was quiet promising (rust creek, super dark times, whats keeps you alive etc. ); but finally got this one which didn't disappoint. This movie starts to take the pace after the first death of one of the crew members. Then it accelerates even more and produces many more interesting thrills. Loved the scene where Rachel was drowned to a under water lake. Also the final fights are pretty interesting. This movie doesn't loose the plot and holds tight till the end. If you're a fan of a thriller, add it to your list. Acting, music & cinematography is also praiseworthy.

The Devil All the Time (2020)
Deep and Dark
If you're a fan of movies - which will not be fast paced but throughout it would be able hold the grips & dives deep - this is a must watch for you.
It took me a while to understand the metaphorical first scene and few others. But as the movie progresses you realize how the devils are potrayed. And one after another how they face a brutal tragedy in their reel life. The mutiple stories of devils are deeply inter connected.
Tom Holland is incredible. As Older Arvin he comes to screen almost after 50 mins though. The Arvin at 9 also does his job quiet brilliantly. Not to forget, Riley & Jason Clarake does fantasic too as a intersting couple. Acting wise, pretty much everyone has done the justice.
Recommend: Yes.
Super Dark Times (2017)
Failed Attempt
This is an another classic example of a movie where you start promisingly but as it progresses - it fails miserably; Slowly & gradually by losing grips... Till the point first murder took place, it was really exciting. But then it starts losing its plots.. the pace slows down.. things looks scattered.. story doesn't add up.. neither the finishing line.. Acting wise Josh & his friends did pretty well but a with a failed script nothing much that actors can do anyway.
Recommend: No.
A Most Violent Year (2014)
Simply a Masterpiece
I never thought it will end up so deep. From the beginning to very last scene - it is enjoyable. The story of a hard fought, honest & integrated businessman is truly inspiring. If you are a fan of decent thriller with blends of drama, this is must watch!
PS: Oscar does an excellent job, became his fan.
Rust Creek (2018)
Just Average
Errors:
1. In Winter time, in a mid of lonely road, being alone - why someone will prefer to study the maps outside the car?
2. Why the jacket would be left over by her in such cold?
3. Once she gets the phone (when her car was dumped), why she didn't dial 911?
4. Why not for a single time - the villain cop or his brothers will not try to invade to his home to see if actaully the girl is there?
5. This is USA & we know a lot about activeness of cops. So, why actual COPS will come exactly at the end of the movie?
I can go on, but that's it for now. Someone pass these questions to the director... & watch only if you don't have any other movie to watch 🙏🏻
