Lite Police Drama without any real diversity
4 May 2020
The lite police drama is nice but as a CA native with friends who were actually LAPD its unrealistic that there are no gay or lesbian characters. Almost every other new show is acknowledging and being inclusive. The new buzz word is fluid and this show has no fluidity. It is always amazing to me when shows like this get great reviews while superior shows "almost family" (IMO) get canceled but have similar audience scores on rotten tomatoes. Anyway, it is nice to see a show not based on the supernatural or animation.

Maia & KJ's chemistry is off the charts - Enjoyable - Light & Airy
5 May 2019
I have seen all the teen movies over the past 40yrs. and this one is definitely in the middle of the pack, not terrible but not great. The movie had so many story lines that it became a distraction. The only pair that I cared about was Griffin & Phoebe - (KJ Apa & Maia Mitchell). I thought Maia & KJ's acting was outstanding and their chemistry was off the charts. I wanted more of them and had the movie just focused on them it would have been better. All the story lines had so little screen time that you never really got the chance to care about them. There was not enough depth especially about the main couple Phoebe & Griffin (Maia Mitchell, KJ Apa).

I have discovered that having a woman on the writing staff gives the movie more heart especially when dealing with love and sex. John Hughes who definitely knew how to write teen movies without sex, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off are classics but his movies had very little sex or dating. Movies with love & sex should have a woman's input.

The music in this movie was abundant but off target and to loud making it just noise. Whomever picks the music for Good Trouble (Maia Mitchell's hot new television show) should have been hired to do this movie. Viewers liked the good trouble music so much they started making spotify playlists for each episode.

Best show I've seen in awhile
29 January 2019
Overall, this is a incredibly refreshing sexy TV show that uses character thoughts via short cut-outs to give greater depth and move the story along in a way similar to This Is Us. Every second is utilized extremely well so don't plan on going to the bathroom unless you want to miss something. At the end of each episode I'm looking forward to viewing the next one and feeling extremely upbeat, two things that most shows fail to accomplish.

Its passionate, groundbreaking, fresh, socially aware & realistically laced with laughs, sibling drama, and emotion. Did I mention the great soundtrack. Nothing is held back when tackling awe-inspiring issues like sexuality, casual sex, body-shaming, police brutality, & affordable housing and other social justice issues.

One show you can't afford to miss & Super Sexy - ET Online Good Trouble is a heartfelt dramedy that will put a smile on your face", Dino-Ray Ramos, January 7, 2019, Dateline 1st Great Show of 2019 - Paste Magazine It's a blast - Refinery29 100% Fresh - Rotten Tomatoes

Great Show - Even better now after the divorce
29 July 2018
I always liked the show, their end results always look great, their chemistry is down-to-earth, and the show is edited without fluff. In my opinion neither of them try to act for the camera they just respond authentically. The current season after the divorce is even better. Their interaction is genuine friction and very entertaining. His interaction and response to her is always funny even though he is not trying to be funny, I laugh all the time. I read some of the other review and they are very critical of the people and show but I suspect those people do not live in Orange County. I lived there for 50 years and the way they dress, flip flops, etc. is normal. Of all the flip shows I enjoy watching this one the most. I recently watched a new flip show based in palm springs and the guy on that show makes me want to change the channel because his sense of humor is so dumb. Chip gains can also be sappy on almost every show which turns me off. Christina and Terek seem the most real and down-to-earth to me so this is my number 1 flip show.
