Cyberpunk 2077 (2020)
Cyberpunk 2077: The game with the biggest comeback of the century!!!
Let me start out by saying, this game 100% had a very sloppy release when it first dropped. We can't deny it and I won't deny it. I had preordered the game before it initially released and was disappointed at how unplayable the whole thing was due to all of the bugs, therefore, my only choice was to shelf the game for the time being until CD Project Red could fix their issues. Now, I know what your thinking, "Where are you going with this review?" Well, just keep reading, trust me.
Fast forward three years, I finally decided to sit down and proceed on with the game, and might I say, it was well worth waiting for. I just finished it for the first time and I can't even begin to say how amazing, breathtaking, interactive, immersive, flawless this game actually became. Not only did they fix all of the severe bug issues, but they added much more content that brought back the hype this game had to begin with. The storyline is so immersive, the characters are flawlessly developed and voice acted, and the visuals and atmosphere almost make you feel like you are present on the streets of Night City.
As for the content, I am pleased to say that I have now completed every single main mission, side mission, gig, and scanner hustles that are in both the main game and Phantom Liberty DLC and I enjoyed every minute of it. With all of the different paths that can be taken and shaped based off of your vital decisions that you choose to make, it proves itself more than just another video game, but a work of immense art. Even the romantic options that you can choose to pursue in this game are such an immersive experience. So, if you are one of those early players who originally bought the game when it first came out and decided to wait for it to be fixed, if you haven't already gone back to it, then I implore you to give it another shot, you may not be disappointed.
It's clear that CD Project Red has placed so much blood, sweat, and tears into bringing us as fans and gamers an experience of a lifetime. The writers and production crew worked hard to develop every small piece of dialogue and every tiny visual to bring us this stunning futuristic landscape. And while it did fail to meet expectations first hand with its sloppy release, I am pleased to inform you all, (if you've managed to make it to the end of my review that is) that Cyberpunk 2077 has now become what I believe to be one of the best RPG games of our time. So for those who intend on giving the game a shot, sit back, relax, and prepare for every dark twist and turn that await you, a legendary mercenary named V, in the crime ridden futuristic dystopia known only as Night City!!!
Red Dead Redemption II (2018)
Best game of the year!!! No wait! Best game of the century!!!
This game just blows your mind beyond all aspects. Story, characters, gameplay, there is absolutely nothing in this game that does not knock it out of the park in terms of how amazing it actually is. When this game was announced, it looked fabulous and kept the huge hype that they were looking for, and it 100% delivered. You don't just play this game, you live it. There is so much insane detail in this game that you question just how much time and effort these developers actually put into this game, spoiler alert, it's a lot. With over hundreds of hours of gameplay to explore, you almost never run out of things to do and you most certainly will never get bored of it. I'm over 400+ hours into this game and I'm still discovering things that I've never seen before. This is one of those games that I recommend getting regardless of how much it is because honestly, if this game was priced at 60-70 dollars to this day, then it would still 100% be worth the purchase!!!
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (2023)
WOW!!! Just...WOW!!!
This game is the absolute definition of what a Star Wars game should be like. I'm not usually someone who gives reviews on games but AJ felt this one deserved one. There is soooo much to like about this game it's difficult to figure out where to start. The visuals and the graphics of the game were amazing and do not even get me started on the story. It was funny, it was sad, it was entertaining and so much more. The combat performed flawlessly and was a very nice challenge. This is exactly what a sequel should look like because they took everything from the first game, which was already amazing in itself and then improved it and made it 100 times better than it already was and did a phenomenal job doing so. Honestly, don't listen to any of the bad reviews that you see here because they clearly don't know what they are talking about. Being a huge Star Wars fan myself since I was young, I can honestly tell you that this game, the story, the characters, all of it is a true heart throb and worth every single penny. If Respawn can keep releasing masterpieces like this, they might very well be one of the best game developers I've ever seen!!!!
Interstellar (2014)
OMG WHY DIDN'T I WATCH THIS SOONER????
I first heard about this movie when I watched the trailer for it back when it released in 2014 while I was at the movies to see a different film and when I saw it, the first thing out of my mouth was "eh." I spent the next eight years forgetting the movie ever existed and then finally decided it was time I watched it and I must say, I can't believe I spent those last eight years without ever seeing it. I overlooked an absolute masterpiece of a film for eight whole years. Brilliant performance by the actors, especially McConaughey. Fantastic storyline and an amazing script. I laughed, I cried, I felt an insane amount of suspense. My biggest regret now is not watching this movie sooner. It may be long, but it's totally worth it so you should definitely give it a chance. Christopher Nolan has created another piece of history that will remain an amazing production in the history of Hollywood for years to come and if I could give it a higher rating than a 10/10 I would do it in a heartbeat.
The Green Mile (1999)
HOLY COW!!!
I'm not usually the type of person that writes reviews like this but after watching this movie, I felt it needed one.
When I first heard about "The Green Mile", I didn't think too much about it since it was over three hours long and didn't believe it was worth my time. People were telling me that it was a good movie and I like Tom Hanks as an actor so I finally took the time to watch it and I gotta say. In my opinion, I found it to be one of the best Tom Hanks films I had seen in my entire life. The whole three hours my eyes were glued to my TV. I laughed, I cried, I pretty much felt different emotions throughout the entire movie that made it an adventure for me. The actors gave an amazing performance and the storyline was a mystery that I was trying to piece together the entire length of the film. By the end, I was in absolute tears when the scene was taking place. It was an emotional rollercoaster that kept me on the edge of my seat up until the credits started rolling. Although the movie is slow, it definitely meets the criteria for my top 10 movies that I've ever seen. It is definitely not a waste of three hours. So sit back, relax and prepare for a crazy mystery that will leave you wondering what will happen next.
Dying Light (2015)
Amazing!!!!!!
I have always been someone who was picky about certain games and on how good I found them. I absolutely love Survival games and zombie games and I'm a huge fan of games that take place in a post apocalyptic environment. Dying Light exceeds all of my expectations in a Survival post apocalyptic zombie game. It contains everything I looked for in a zombie game. You can search almost every building for supplies to craft and enjoy weapons of many different kinds that range from blunt weapons to rifles, you can parkour almost anything in the city and use the environment to your advantage. The gameplay mechanics are smooth, the story of Dying Light is very entertaining and the environment is so dark and terrifying which makes the gameplay all the more terrific. And the best part of it, the entire story of Dying Light can be played WITH YOUR FRIENDS in a group of up to four players. If you want a true zombie experience, this is the way to go. So grab your three closest friends and sit back and prepare for the ultimate survival challenge. With the city of Harran as your playground and the infected out for your blood, it is up to you to survive the horrors that lurk inside the city of Harran and find a cure in hopes of restoring the city to its former glory. But be warned, come nightfall, the horrors that roam the city of Harran may prove to be much more terrifying than you expect.
The Hate U Give (2018)
Are you kidding me?
This movie was more of a political rant against law enforcement than anything else. I always prefer the right thing to be done but after the scene where the kid is killed by a police officer because he was holding a hairbrush, it sparks an entire rally and riots against police officers who are complaining cause they believe he shot him just because he was black and the reality is, that's not true. It would've been the same outcome either way. This movie just makes law enforcement look like the bad guys in this world and the reality is that's not true, not even close and this film just spits on the good name of the protectors of our cities.
Vantage Point (2008)
Really entertaining
I have always been the type of person that loved watching action movies and this movie definitely serves as one of the most puzzling and informative films that leaves you on the edge of your seat wondering what happens next. The way they focus on one event through the eyes of eight different characters really gets you to think about the situation and who or what has to do with how the entire thing plays out. If your into movies that give an informative storyline through all aspects of the situation and nonstop action, this is the movie for you.
