Yakusoku no Neverland: Episode #2.11 (2021)
Why do a third season when you can just do a montage?
I haven't rolled my eyes that hard since the episode of Lost where they somehow concluded that "We have to go back". Why spend two seasons fighting for something, only to contradict it in the last moments and then play out what could have been a third season in a one minute montage? Still better writing than Game of Thrones Season 8 - hence the 2/10.
Westworld: Kiksuya (2018)
Finally, the caliber we've been waiting for!
At the start of the episode, I was weary. With only two episodes left after this one, I wasn't really interested in what appeared to be yet another plot line in an already complicated story. I wanted more answers and explanation for what has been happening this season. Instead, this episode helped me realize how much I actually wanted a break from all of that. The story of season two continues, but it is delivered in the most beautiful way. The subtlety, nuance, and brilliance of the first season's finale shines through in this episode - a much welcomed reprieve from the blunted directness of some earlier episodes. This is the writing and the acting that we've so eagerly anticipated since the end of the last season!
