X (2022)
X does not mark the spot
I am very unbiased when it comes to movie reviews, and I typically try to see the good in movies, but this movie just did not connect with me. I love horror movies, but I don't know what in the world this is. The plot follows a group of porn producers and actresses trying to become stars. They rent a cabin on an old man's farmland, and they are caught in the act, resulting in violent acts. That sounds great, sounds like all the making for a good/great horror movie. The plot twist in this is ridiculous, and not in a good way. My wife and I literally looked at each other and laughed. By the end of the movie, it was the first time I have ever felt and audibly said that the movie was a waste of my time. I see everyone saying how great it was, and because of this I gave it a second view, and I can say with 100% confidence that this is the worst movie I've ever seen, and I watched Cats.
Old (2021)
Old, yet new and refreshing
Old is an original movie based off a book, seems familiar right. Now I for one haven't read the book so I cannot compare the two. Old follows a family that goes on a vacation and is escorted to a beautiful beach, and for whatever reason everyone begins to age rapidly. Thats all I can say about the plot spoiler free. Now the acting in the movie leaves a lot to be desired, and the movie's runtime is excessive, but the movie overall is a fun watch. In a world of excessive sequels and remakes, Old delivers an original, interesting, and mentally terrifying movie concept. It's not a movie with much replay value, but it's a good movie night with your loved one.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)
Ant-man falls short.
Let's start this off by saying this is not a bad MCU movie, but it's also not a good one. Jonathan Majors was phenomenal as Kang, the visual effects were visually stunning (most of the time), and Cassie was a surprisingly interesting character. Where this movie lacks for me, its plot and pacing, also the ending, but this is a spoiler free review. The plot isn't that interesting, so it fails to grab the viewers undivided attention. The pacing is jumbled and some of it felt forced, movie had no business being 2 hours long. In all honesty it felt unfinished, but yet this movie is incredibly important to the future of the MCU, so therefore it is a must see. As a standalone Ant-man, it's the best one. As a MCU movie following movies such as Spider-man No Way Home and Doctor Strange's Multiverse of Madness, this movie falls incredibly short. Also, did i mention how disappointing the ending was?!
Peaky Blinders (2013)
Don't mess with the Peaky F'n Blinders
I waited to watch this show until the shows run had ended, and I can honestly say I watched from the beginning. This show runs for 6 seasons, with only 36 episodes, basically 1 hour per episode. Now spoiler free, the first 4 seasons are considerably better than the last 2 seasons. This is only a mild complaint as the series itself is a phenomenal tale of the importance of family and loyalty. Cillian Murphy was born to play this role, and in my opinion will go down as his best role when it's all said and done. Incredibly Arthur was my favorite character, it's incredible to see the character development and performance by Paul Anderson. Tom Hardy as Alfie was great, Tom Hardy is always exceptional. If you enjoy political shows, then season 5-6 will entertain you, but seasons 5-6 felt a little lack luster for my taste.
The Gentlemen (2019)
Why did I wait so long?
Guy Ritchie provides yet again another masterclass of filmmaking. Everyone involved in this movie preform their role to perfection in this engaging back and forth British crime. The movie is led by the brilliant performance of Hugh Grant, as well as a phenomenal performances from Charlie Hunnam and Colin Farrell, and Matthew McConaughey's best performance to date. I myself am a huge fan of British crime movies/shows, so this was right up my alley. The story is interesting and engaging to the audience. It's hard to pinpoint a specific performance as all involved really pulled their own. I still can't believe it took me almost 4 years to know this movie existed, just in time for Guy Ritchie's new film!
Knock at the Cabin (2023)
An engaging original film
A Thriller is universally a movie genre favorite for most people, and this film doesn't disappoint. The character work is well done and engaging. Not a ton of action or violence, instead this movie focuses on the mental terror of the choice presented upon the main characters. The characters struggle with the possibility of the choice being laid upon them real or fiction. Luckily this choice is also brought heavily upon the viewer, you will change your mind many times. Dave Bautista shines in his best performance to date, really is the star of the movie. All in all, highly recommend this new original from M. Night Shyamalan.

Gotham Knights (2022)
A real review
This game is so much better then some of these reviews claim. If you're a fan of the Arkham series you will love this game. Yes the combat is different, and it takes a second to get used too but when you do the game is a blast to play. The boss battles are long and challenging, instead of beating the "boss" in 3 minutes you have to work to drain the health bar. You will fail, but eventually you'll figure it out. The level up system is something to work for, increasing your damage and abilities, making fights easier as you progress. Beautiful graphics on the Series X, can't wait for some DLC to do some new case files with some new iconic villains!
Armageddon (1998)
Favorite movie of all time
22 years later, I still watch this movie monthly. It's has everything you could want: Great acting, action, drama, romance, & a fun far fetched plot. Beautiful movie. 10/10 would recommend, and will continue to watch until I die.
