Monolith (2016)
beautiful visuals of Utah geology
This movie has its issues but it also has entertainment value. If you enjoy endless vistas of desolate mountains then even if you don't care for the film itself, the heavy reliance on breathtaking shots of the multi-coloured Utah (likely the Paria mountains).
Beyond the geology and macho car, the kid is good and the hopeless terror of the protagonist is sometimes genuine, other times humorously not.
Sam Was Here (2016)
Great film, solid acting and film making A+
This movie is great.
It's confusing, suggestive, prophetic (?)
Hearing the eighties techno soundtrack alone is worth watching the film. The protagonist and antagonists are convincing, really well acted. The cinematography is equally enjoyable.
It's a journey with a salesman into a small isolated town, it's strange, intriguing, frightening and exhilarating.
This movie is so unlike the common repetitive stereotyped lesser films of the horror/suspense genres
