Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Like a terrible parody of a Marvel movie
No story really, no plot timing, none of the comedy is actually funny, and there is way too much of it. CGI was executed ok but there wasn't good flow between scenes or it seemed rushed and colors were oversaturated.
I liked Marvel because they would have a bit of comedy in an otherwise more serious action movie and wouldn't always take themselves too seriously (compared to DC for example). But this is just way too much, it's a hot mess and everyone just phoned it in on this one. I think it's the worst Marvel theatrical release I've seen. Whoever green lighted this should be fired.
The only decent character and actor I would say was Bale.
Raised by Wolves (2020)
Please tell me this story is more than an on the nose Garden of Eden allegory?
Story starts out refreshingly unique and interesting to watch for about the first half of the season, then it slows down and you keep wondering where is this going? What entity keeps manipulating everyone? Then comes this flying serpent at the end of the season that I'm guessing was the entity manipulating everyone, even the Mithraic morons back on Earth so that they supposedly come to this planet. Please tell me this story is going to be more than an on the nose (and frankly stupid) Garden of Eden allegory?
Beat (2018)
Nice story and characters but issues with plot
It's an interesting story but the club scene after the first couple episodes is really just a backdrop and not material to the story. The characters and acting are pretty good. My main issue is with some plot points being totally unbelievable, like when Beat is at the farm why doesn't he manage to take even one picture with his phone, especially when he was in the trash bin, of the dead body with the chest sutures? He onlu used his phone to notify ESI. Or the fact that they know Vossberg's half-sister is driving to and from the farm or their new location after they bailed, then why aren't ESI or police getting a warrant to track her car or phone? Even without a warrant just have police secretly follow her car and voila done. It's somewhat disappointing when writers have a plot that totally depends on these unbelievable little things not happening otherwise the story would be finished much quicker.
