What we're the writers thinking
5 December 2023
Enjoyable series until this episode. Ash's friends are obnoxious, entitled, rude, self absorbed and totally out of sync with the Ash we have seen in all previous episodes- and out of sync with her best friend Meggles. It's as if the writer gathered a bunch of random people in their 20's and told them to " pull out all the stereotype stops," be rude and go crazy. I don't think they even rehearsed. Worst episode, and just doesn't fit with the vibe of the show thus far. The Ash we've gotten to know would have been angry with her friends' behavior and would have kicked them out herself, but her attitude toward Gordon at the end comes out of nowhere.

Love Sarah (2020)
4/10
No context, no continuity, no character development
19 March 2023
Watching this was like walking into the middle of a conversation- but a senseless one. I was hopeful at the very beginning, but then it just scattered like someone dropped a jar full of change and tried to make small talk as they picked it up. The viewer is never really told the background of the characters; just bit by bit you learn snippets of unimportant details that don't really connect into a viable character background. Clarissa acts like she barely knows her grandmother, where is the funeral or mourning or mention that Sarah is dead? Sarah is riding her bike, and then we see Isabella in a meeting with her accountant? Hah? Clarissa is in dance class, and then suddenly leaves, but no close up of her facial expression to indicate why?

And the bakery??? One big table in the middle? No glass encased shelves? Just bright colored cakes- no croissants, muffins, or bagels?

And the trapeze scene? Oh yeah, everyone just pops into a gym and jumps on a trapeze these days??? Bizarre.

A mess of a movie with no depth of character, plot or conflict to keep you guessing or peak your interest. 25 minutes was all I could stand.

Red Notice (2021)
8/10
Entertaining and fun.
9 February 2023
Can't believe the bad reviews. So what if the plot is predictable? Such a fun movie! Pure entertainment, charismatic characters, great action with silly stunts and goofy, corny jokes!! No better way to spend a dreary, rainy and cold February afternoon.

Who says all movies have have deep meanings and complicated plots. Aren't movies made to entertain??? " Red Notice" checks all the boxes for a fun-filled, entertaining cinematic experience. If you're looking for deep meaning and complex themes, this is not for you. But if you want to wash away your stress and are in the mood to laugh at silly jokes and James Bondish stunts, then turn this on and enjoy!!

Hard to find any redeeming qualities
9 April 2022
Dull, dark and tedious. I kept waiting for one of the main characters to strike a worthwhile chord, but it never happens. Bruce Dern plays the meanest, self-centered, unloving character I've ever encountered in a movie. Mrs. Kittredge, his wife, is not much better. Stuck in the past( doesn't want electricity or Tv), refusing to speak to her husband, obsessed with bizarre Egyptian artifacts, she calls her grandson Tut. When the grown children visit, it is clear that the family is dysfunctional. There is no humor or laughter. This movie is soul crunching, determined to show that the human spirit has died along with Bruce Dern. Horrible movie- don't waste your time.

Pieces of Her (2022)
5/10
Should have been 4 or 5 episodes.
11 March 2022
First two episodes grabbed my attention, and made me want more. By the middle of the fourth episode, it began to drag endlessly and wander in too many directions. The actor who played The younger Jane was dreadful- no emotion, no personality and looked NOTHING like the current day Jane( Laura). I'm forcing myself to watch the last episode.

CBS Mornings (2021– )

No longer a news show!
8 November 2021
First, Ditch the horns- a horrible, unnecessarily noisy way to start a weekday morning. Second, where is the news? A brief overview at the hour, and then trendy, spotlight on random actors, musicians, models and/or athletes. Third- I always liked Gayle, but lately, all she does is cut people off, and dominate the conversation. I used to be a diehard daily fan, have now switched to NBC where I get actual news.

Ted Lasso: Beard After Hours (2021)
Season 2, Episode 9

Ruined the feel good Ted Lasso Flo.
21 September 2021
I have belly laughed through each Ted Lasso episode and have walked away feeling uplifted and energized. This episode left me cold- deflated, bored and wondering what the hell was the point. At first, I thought we would get to know Beard a little more, but no! Instead, it was like a bunch of sixteen year olds got high and tried to write a dream sequence with deep symbolism, but totally missed the mark!! Horrible, discrediting to the other stellar episodes. Please don't let whoever wrote that script to enter that arena again.

Disappointing. Slow.
12 July 2021
Too much time talking about and wishing Mel happy birthday, too many repetitive Jack & Mel embracing scenes in same vapid pose over and over. No conflict or plot advancement until the last few minutes. Disappointing, Bor.......ing!!

Entertaining, Love Queen Latina.
8 February 2021
Highly entertaining; great covid lockdown escape. Sure, it's a bit predictable, but we need predictable, action-packed, good guy/ bad guy shows these days. The "Queen" is out to help the little guy who has nowhere else to turn, and I love watching her!! What's wrong with a little positive juju entertainment? I'll be watching again next week.
