The Killer (2023)
Waste of Time
Sorry, I wanted to like it but it was awful. I liked the character, but the story (movie) just ruined it. This movie is S L O W and never kicks off. It just fizzles out in a very derivative and expected way. The trailer is great, just watch that and imagine the movie you were sold in that trailer and then expect the complete opposite.
You have this "perfectionist" that clearly isn't making it seem like he has it all figured out when he doesn't. You have cities and locales mentioned that look nothing at all like then cities themselves. I'm not sure where it was filmed, but it did not do a good job of representing at least two of the cities in have lived in as there was zero resemblance.
It was just a huge bore and I felt the trailer promised a "bill of goods" and just did not deliver.
The Original Kings of Comedy (2000)
The KANGS are still King!!
Twenty three years later and The Original Kings of Comedy still is one of the best comedy specials ever recorded. Full disclosure; I'm a middle-aged white guy and probably was not their target audience, but my wife and I watch this at least once a year. I remember seeing it in the theatre in 2000 and the crowd laughed so much I had to go see it again weeks later just to hear the jokes I missed during the laughing.
You have not one but FOUR of the best comedians ever assembled on one stage. There was so much material it was filmed over several days and the funniest jokes and lines made it to this movie.
This movie has become a classic and is definitely worth the watch.
Long Story Short (2021)
I Really Liked It
The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was because of the simplistic predictability in the beginning. I literally called the whole movie/plot while he was speaking to the "L - Wizzard" in the cemetery. But, what I didn't predict was the way the story would be told and I really liked it. All of the actors were great and little Tallulah was played by an awesome child actor. I had tears in my eyes for about the whole last half of the movie and, even though I knew what was going to happen, I almost started to doubt myself and believed for a minute they were just going to fall in love and have to start over ten years later. But, I was right! Love the move and please give it a chance, it definitely will not be that "long of a story" :)
Causeway (2022)
You've Been Warned
WTF did I just watch? I really don't want to waste another minute of my life on this excruciatingly boring waste of time, but I feel a duty to save others from it. It actually took most of an afternoon to get trough this because I kept falling asleep. If there is one redeeming quality - AT ALL - it's at the very end of the movie when Jennifer Lawrence bends over to dive in that disgusting community pool in that blue one piece swimsuit. That's it, nothing else to see here at all. And I'm supposed to believe that in 2022 the house, excuse me, mansion on "Octavia" doesn't have cameras? FML and FK Apple TV for duping me into this waste of life.
Margin Call (2011)
Bore.
Literally put me to sleep, twice, during a bright and sunny day. I like financial/stock market movies and read up and invest in the market so I thought for sure I would like this movie. Nothing really to like here. Maybe Jeremy Irons' speech at the end about all of the market crashes in history, but other than that there wasn't really anything of substance to enjoy in the film. I wouldn't have minded seeing Demi Moore have some more lines and a character with a pulse and who doesn't love Tucci, Irons and Spacey. So much talent wasted on this film. I also just can't see that Star Trek kid without thinking he is Spock. Couldn't watch it again.
Reacher (2022)
Bezos Review Farms
I watched every episode start to finish and there is no way in hell this show earned an 8* review without the help of Bezos' overseas review farms. The acting is so bad we just considered it a comedy and made the best of it.
9/11: Minute by Minute (2021)
Waste of Time
This was awful. No real footage, just stock/file
Images and videos of generic airplanes with 9-11 timeline narration voiced over. Done waste your time.
Last Christmas (2019)
Great Movie Great Message
If you didn't like and take something good away from this movie then YOU are the problem. This is a definite must watch film made better with the beautiful sights and sounds of Christmas.
Zola (2020)
Trash movie featuring trash people - basically the "Story of Tampa"
This movie basically sums up all that is Tampa, Florida. Before considering a trip or move to TRAMPA watch this movie and see if this is what you are into. You'll thank me later.
I Care a Lot (2020)
How does it average at 6??
Lousy waste of time. I only kept watching to see her die.
The Half of It (2020)
At least there were hot chicks in it.
Just save yourself a lot of wasted time and watch the trailer. The trailer is good. The movie, meh. I was hoping they would dress up the Chinese, remove her glasses and let her hair down at some point, but DENIED. The "hot girl" character, who is a perfect blend of Sean Young and Jennifer Love Hewitt was definitely down for scissorpalooza, but it wasn't in the cards. Kinda cute movie, but overall kinda sucked.
It gets two stars for the two hot chicks and two for them kissing at the end. That's it.
From Fat Lolli to 6 Pack Lolli: The Ultimate Transformation Story (2020)
This Really Sucked
I can't believe I wasted time with this narcissistic pile of crap. I mean, I was going to fall asleep on the couch regardless, but this mindless egotistical drivel in the background was such a waste of electricity.
I particularly loved the wife's reference to her "checklist." It's nothing special, pretty much the same "checklist "every other gold digging cooz in the world has, money. That's it. Thanks for sharing what we all already knew. You can be a fat piece of crap but as long as you're rich you can bag a hot gold digging piece of quiff.
Shame on Jeff Bezos for letting this steaming pop of crap on his platform.
Garth Brooks: The Road I'm On (2019)
Cry Much??
Come on Garth! I've been a huge fan. Travelled out of state to see you live and you drop this load of crap on me?
Rounders (1998)
Meh
Sorry, I just got around to watching this 22 years later and I can say with certainty that I'm glad I didn't rush. I like most of the actors (in other things) and I get this was early in some of their careers, but...."BORE!" I fell asleep twice and it took two nights to finish. I just wasn't impressed with it.
The Spy (2019)
Great Series!
First off, I am not highly versed in the history of these two countries. Yes, I know the basics of what's been going on, but I had never heard of Eli. I have since done some reading and research provoked by this show.
One thing I did notice is that ALL of the bad reviews are from people with the same "type" of user name. Not hard to figure out what side of the strip you're on. Not a show for you Taliban, go get your own Netflix series. Petition ilhan Omar, sure she can help you guys out ;)
Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers (2018)
Awful Waste of Time!
Wow, just wow! What can I say that hasn't already been said? This attempt at a movie sucked so bad I could barely make it 20 minutes before shutting it off. I'll never get to know the deal with Bob because this no-talent ass clown Jeremy ruined any hope of me being able to stomach this documentary. And, MICKEY ROURKE? Really? Netflix should be ashamed.
