Debris (2021)
Much better than Manifest, yet cancelled.
I was getting into this one, and waiting for everything to mature. It had a feel of Fringe and X Files. Then NBC cancelled the show, this week.
And, Manifest got another year...
Emergence (2019)
Nice Adaptation of the 1985 DARYL Movie
Just saw S1E3, and am still waiting for some character/story development. This is the type of Sci-Fi fantasy content I enjoy watching... Not the current reality shows flooding the channels. I am enjoying watching television, again!
Legion (2017)
This is Marvell... Wow! Abstract, Raw and Alluring...
This is Marvell... I had to watch it. From the first episode, the eclectic and off-the-wall nature of the show kept me off balance, but yearning for the next episode...
. After Season 2, Episode 8, I can now look bad and see the path the story tellers have drawn. In a very creative and visually stunning way, S2-E8 just explained the concept of the multi-verse and the complexity of chaos theory driving the idea that every imaginable outcome is simultaneously happening. I don't think that is giving away things.
And, the music of Jeff Russo & Noah Hawley... Their spin on most of the tunes in the show has been amazing! So haunting and longing... Jeff Russo & Noah Hawley... Release official versions of these songs! I really want to buy them!!
- Superman
- I'd Love To Change The World
- White Rabbit
- White Room
- Don't Come Around Here No More
For being almost 60, I am amazed that I find this show compelling. I didn't last more than 5 or 6 episodes into Mr. Roboto. This is definitely a thinking show. Now, I need to bide my time until June 12...
Lethal Weapon: An Inconvenient Ruth (2018)
The Kind Of Storyline I Enjoy: Keep Going This Direction!
I agree with AtlasMB, all the way. This episode has come back to the mix of crime drama, action and comedy that drew me to the show. I think this episode really drew on the interplay between the Ruth and Martin characters to address the sensitive topic of dealing with alcohol dependency. I am also hoping the Ruth character makes return a appearances. This was much more appealing to me than developing the father figure.
Keep delivering this type of material!
The Ethereal Plane (2005)
A Decent Low-Budget "B" Indie Film With A Good Story
This movie will not rival a box office theater release. It is a "B" movie. Go in thinking that you are watching a college project film, and you will have the correct mindset for watching this movie. If you could sit through "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes", which I did several times, this will be an easy watch for you. Pay attention to the story line, and you will be entertained as the story takes you on its journey.
Filmed in 2004, this movie comes with the period CRT computers one would expect. The gadget that is the center of attention in the story is basic with just a knob and no lights. The special effects are decent for a 2004 film. You will either like this film, or you won't. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed reading the humor in the credits.
