Young Sheldon: Funeral (2024)
Im not crying your crying..
Man....what a fantastic show. This epsiode really hits home and makes you realize love who you can, while you can. Tell your mother you lover her, your father, your best friend, family.. we never know when its our time. Sheldon always seemed to lack the emotional awareness that most people take for granted, but we finally see him reach his breaking point and regret not tellimg his dad how he felt and that he loves him. If i have leanred anything from this show is we all can be so absorbed in our own worlds, our finances, relationships, hardships that we forget to cherish the time we get to spend eith the people we love. I myself forget sometimes that my mom, dad, brother womt be here forever and I need to remind myself to enjoy the times we do have and have had. So please tell someone you love them today, tomorrow is no gurantee.
Dune: Part Two (2024)
People need to calm down, the movie is not that good
Dune part two is definitely an entertaining movie, but as it stands as an 8.8, lets dial it back a bit. The movie itself visually is a masterpiece, but my problem stems from character development and plot rushing. To me it seems like the last half of the movie was supposed to be 3 hours long itself but the whole movie itself was cut under 3 hours. The climactic finish to the film was super fast and felt like the stakes were low because it just went from one thing to the next with no time to breathe. Also Pauls attraites or how ever you spell it, his character pulls a game of thrones esque queem of dragons vibe, where there goals and personality are one thing then dramatically shift seemingly out of no where. Overall it was a good film, a bit long for my taste, but Its worth a watch if you like sci fi.
Ricky Stanicky (2024)
Let me save you 2 hours of your life
This movie is an abomination. May be some of the worst writing and acting I have seen in a long time. Dont get me wrong, I love me some Cena, Santino, Macy and Effron, but this movie is just not it.
The plot is so farfetched to begin with and the redemption arc at the end is so delusional. The movie itself has cringey humor and really is not very funny. Not sure who their demographic was on this one, but its a big miss. I tried watching in on numetous occasions and had to force myself to finish. It feels like hollywood is scraping the bottom of barrel with this crappy writing, awful narrative, bad acting and weird humor. Take my advice and skip this one.
Love on the Spectrum U.S. (2022)
The greatest show ive ever seen and I will tell you why
I myself have been ignorant as a child and adult to the diffilcuties people in life that I dont share myself. This show really opens your eyes to the beauty we share as human beings wanting love and connection regardless of phsyical or mental differences we have as people. We all crave to be loved, embraced, cared for and wanted, this show really opened my eyes to understand that we all need to be more patient with one another as humans because we all have different backgrounds, experiences and cognitive abilities.
This show has made me tear up more times then I will admit, lol, but its because of how beauitful it is to see people overcome challenges and love life so unconditonally. The people on this show and their families inspire me to have my own family one day and give them at least 1/10 of the love these parents show for their kids. If you have a heart you will love this show and smile and cry because its amazing to see the power of adversity and compassion can play in our world if we just try to understand each other more.
Gen V: Guardians of Godolkin (2023)
Might as well just call this show Gen Z because clearly thats their target demo
Let me start of by saying I love the Boys. Its story telling, espionage, drama, its a fantastic show and is really funny. This show is basically trying to be that and failing. The dialouge seems like its written by highschoolers, the gore is over done, the story telling is repetitive and nonsensical, the acting is poor and the fights are boring. I think that this show is pandering to gain a younger audience and it forgets its roots of good storytelling and charcter delevolpment like homelander, butcher, starlight, and hughie. There seems to be no real growth. The motivation behind the "bad guys" is utterly confusing and everything seems rushed. If ypur a true fan of the boys, I think you will agree this show is quite lackluster.
The Machine (2023)
Bert thinks he is good at everything
I used to love two bears one cave, but then it started to get stale thanks to bart 😉. He trys way to hard in everything he does, he trys to hard to laugh, he trys to hard to make jokes, he trys to hard to be fit, he trys way to hard to act here. A good actor trancends a role and is the character they play. When bert plays himself he is playing this weird heightened version of himself like he does in two bears. The reason I like tom segura is he is himself, nothing more, nothing less. It seems bert is always being extra and over the top and it doesnt work for me amd Im assuming a lot of people, based off these reviews. He needs to be more genuine and authentic and stop trying to please everyone. He seems like a genuine guy but his acting is sub par, the machine story is not that interesting and I would have rather watched a Bad Friends movie the bottoms of turtle bay, then this.
Andrew Santino: Cheeseburger (2023)
The best comedic timing in the Game
I have been watching Andrew santino on podcasts for 3 years now, bad friends and his podcast whiskey ginger. If you like him on the podcast you will love this special. He is thought provoking, realistic and the vulgar santino we have all come to love. I feel like stand up comedy is an extension into peoples lives behind the camera and how wr all can relate to particular situstions or thoughts we have thst the comedian vocalizes, he nails that dycotomy. He never lets a joke run dry and hits his delivery on every punch line. I highly recommend the special and his podcadts, hes a creative genius and seems like a dude you could defintely drink whiskey and play some pool with.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
DC NEEDS AN R UNIVERSE
Where do I begin, this movie is made for adults. It has gore, great plot points, character development, great visuals and makes you want more. The relationship between the characters seems natural and not forced like the original. The original is so cheesy it made me want to puke at times, and e all know how supermans mouth looked...eeeesh. For a four hour movie I was engaged, I loved the chemistry between the team and stephenwolf (however your spell it) was more fleshed out finally. So many amazing cameos, fight scenes and plot points that needed to be in the orignal. O and that end cut scene, dont get me started...amazing! We need an R snyderverse and a justice league w directed by him, please!
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
What did I just watch
This is hot garbage, plot is insane, magic stone that grants wishes....ok. the first movie was great the ww1 vibes and plot were at least watchable. This movies is not funny, owrst dialogue ever, terrible villains, bad acting, DC just give up.
