Vortex (2022)
Kept you watching
Good series. Interesting and unpredictable. Kept wanting to watch the next episode. The only disadvantage was all the swearing. So many F words was such a shame and needless. There was also an explicit sex scene, only one, but didn't need it. At least you have the option to skip over the sex scene. The acting was good. The storyline was a bit disappointing in a few instances when Mel knew she was dying and only had to stay away from where she was killed to prevent the same fate, but frustratingly followed the same footsteps. The end was ok, but I would have liked to have seen how they got to where they were in the 27 years between.
The Old Man (2022)
Good story... Foul language
Profanity ruins this show. No need for it.
F words throughout, including MF...
So disappointing.
The story is good, suspenseful, different than most... just not enjoyable to watch due to the amount of profanity. ...........................,............................................................................................................................
The Capture (2019)
Good twisting story
Great show, but really bad language. Should be rated MA15+. Severe language F words and Blasphemy. Shame. Would have been brilliant if not for that.
The Burrowers (2008)
Not what you'd expect
A Western mixed with horror. Strange, but kept you watching. Last half hour a bit of a let down. Strong blasphemous language throughout, 1x F word and other expletives.
The Healer (2016)
PG & Profanity
Such a shame a PG rated movie has so much swearing. Not only regular sh##, bs, bast###, etc, but so much blasphemy - JC, OMG, even spoken by children in the movie. Very disappointing.
Relic (2020)
Brilliant depiction of Alzheimer's / Dementia
This is not meant to be the usual horror movie, and if you see it that way, you're not getting it!
This is a brilliant movie depicting the horrors of dementia, through the eyes of one having dementia, and also through the eyes of family / carers.
Excellent portrayal of such a debilitating disease.
Robin Hood (2018)
Was never intended to portray the real Robin Hood story
Yes, it's called Robin Hood, but it says right from the start it's the story you've never heard... therefore why would you expect it to be anything other than what it was.
The idea of mixing modern with medieval was great, and the bits of 'Monty Python' type humour made the film fun.
Don't expect a Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest and youve got yourself a very entertaining movie.
I Am Mother (2019)
Kept you watching ..
Loved this movie. Thought provoking. For a movie with not a lot of change in scenery, it kept you trying to work out what was going to happen next. Great actors. They played their parts well.
The Bookshop (2017)
Absolutely Boring
Went to see this with no expectations, but it would have to be the most boring film I've ever seen. Slow moving, long soundless moments, and nothing of substance (except the final scene). Was very hard to stop myself from falling asleep. Disappointing.
