Ghosts: A Christmas Gift (2023)
A disappointing end
Ghosts has been one of my absolute favourite comedies, but I am so disappointed with that ending. I wish they had of just left it at the end of season 5 without the Christmas special.
The leap from loving Button House to wanting to leave in one episode makes no sense, and it didn't touch on the fact that Alison could see ghosts wherever she went.
It's like the creators forget who their audience is so often when it comes to finales. There was nothing comedic about this episode, and it was just a disappointing end to the best comedy I have seen in a long time. There are so many different ways they could have ended it more in the spirit of the show.
Anyone But You (2023)
Love, love, love!
I'm never sure why rom coms are so frequently dismissed as being formulaic, like in some of these reviews, when other genres are no different. Think every repetitive Marvel movie with the same good over evil plotline, a mystery where the lead detective doesn't solve the case, or a sci fi where the aliens do indeed take over at the end of the day, but I digress...
This movie has chemistry, comedic value, amazing scenery and a good storyline. Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney are great as leads, their story is well developed, and the secondary characters are all entertaining. It's swoon-worthy, the banter is spot on, and you will leave the cinemas feeling light and fuzzy.
It was so good to be able to see a well crafted rom com in the cinemas for a change. I highly recommend watching and hope to see more films like this one!
Everything I Know About Love (2022)
A neutral 5
Am I the only one who thinks this show is totally overrated? Maybe my expectations were too high since it's been so hyped up. Totally unlikeable characters and slow storyline.
The Good Place (2016)
Liked it at first...
I struggle a bit with this show. I loved the first season but found season two to be so dull and repetitive that sadly I just couldn't get through it.
Vanderpump Rules (2013)
Worst show on tv
This is honestly the worst show on tv. It irks me that shallow people like this get so much air time. For a group of people who claim to embrace other peoples differences, they sure are good at attacking anyone who dares to have an opinion contrary to theirs. I struggle to understand how people enjoy watching a group of so-called friends scream at each other every other day.
