The Outlaws (2021)
Changed my rating from 9 to 10
I just changed my rating from 9 to 10 on this... because I feel like I need to even watch it again - which is pretty rare these days for most 'not so iconic' shows. Unique and funny- but I think the best part is the actors and the acting doing their thing, casting is really solid and balanced mix and match to make the world whole. Story goes on it's unique way and the humor is really enjoyable all the time, not just the punchlines, but the whole thing and the general feel of warmth and lightheartedness ease to enjoy.
Just because this is hounding my brain after a long time and missing great stuff like this around... and it's just so much better than 95% out there.
The Tourist (2022)
Probably the most underrated TV-serie at the moment
It's unique, it's got serious sense of drama and awesome storytelling going on. Twists are definitely juicy and unexpectedly balanced at the same time. Acting doesn't feel too much like acting; something which both of the actors for the lead characters do really good work with. Other characters are also really nicely written and the casting for the actors is bulletproof.
For these reasons, this is simply so much more than 95% of the other tv-series can offer and 10/10 is worth it even without being "just a statement" of how this show has so bad ratings. Makes me feel bad and think people must be blind and numb by the waste they are flooding their eyes with.
Shinobi no Ie: House of Ninjas (2024)
Nice clash of ninja family drama with some action
I am mostly allergic to action and family drama, but found this series really captivating and interesting by combining different styles. It's a good watch and left me waiting for just a bit more - I have high hopes for second season to come and add another levels here.
I understand some people might want more action and with gore, but for me personally the idea of the Shinobi in action visualizes perfectly just like this. Violence and death is severe, but the Shinobi go through it without making a big thing out of it.
I noticed some people have complained about the "corny music". Not being so narrow minded about it myself, but I can agree this sometimes transforms a bit culturally distant to me, but then again I enjoy very much the feelings of being more amused by this. It's just as easy as understanding bad jokes every ones in a while the right way. There could have been a more interesting sound's effects and theme tracks here but wasn't really missing this so much to have an actual problem with the sound.
