Refreshing and Captivating
23 September 2023
I loved this movie. You can tell that thought and planning went into it as opposed to usually copy and paste which makes the movie a refreshing change.

Kaitlyn Dever's acting was superb and keeps you captivated the whole time.

I think the minimal dialogue added to the whole vibe overall and made the words that were spoken that much more impactful. It was one of my favorite aspects of the movie, showing me the story as opposed to telling me.

I personally really liked the ending, and the different ways I've seen it be interpreted. I do think this movie deserved a theatrical release I feel it would have been amazing to watch in theater.

Worth a watch (Time jumps are annoying though)
26 August 2023
I really liked the show, super interesting compared to allot of tv shows out now days.

My only complaint is the time jumps made it confusing for no reason, to be honest if they had run the show with a linear timeline I think it would have been more enjoyable. The time jumps really didn't add anything to the show and I think the storyline and premise of the show would have been strong enough to captivate the audience without trying to be mystical and time jump.

I would have also enjoyed seeing more of their training timeline and their relationships evolving throughout their time at the academy.

Don't panic I get It, the movie just isn't good.

The whole notion of if you don't like this movie it's cause you don't get it is ridiculous. The concept isn't new or ground breaking. I was excited to see this but after watching it I just don't get how it has so much praise it was just ok. The movie isn't that hard to understand, it just wasn't entertaining, or funny, it drags in places, I just found it really not enjoyable.

This movie was a PR move gone wrong.

Warning: Spoilers
As someone going into this never knowing of all Kevin Harts mistakes, I'm just someone who would see his stuff online and have a laugh, this movie made me dislike Kevin Hart.

This whole thing was a mess basically 6 episodes of Kevin hart flexing, and playing the victim. How can one person be so arrogant and so un-apologetic to the stuff he has done wrong. Talks about how his best friend betrayed him, like how could somebody do that ,meanwhile cut to his wife crying because she was humiliated. I mean seriously who in Kevin's pr team thought this was a good idea.

The worst part overall was the multiple times he would ask his friends questions and then cut them off so he could answer himself. I don't know whether it was part of the movie so they could get footage of him pretending to be a motivational speaker or if he is just that rude in person.

The theme of the movie that your not successful because you don't work hard enough pretty much perfectly sums up this movies message: Arrogance, entitlement and a slap in the face to everyday people working their butts off. God forbid you're a doctor but not rich must mean you didn't work hard enough.
