Elvis (2022)
Overrated
Austin Butler's acting was okay but a little too much of a posture, perhaps because of a lack of direction from the director. The editing is the best part of this movie, but I'm not sure it's fully related to the theme. The movie is a bit chaotic and lost some important aspects of Elvis's story. The most interesting aspect of the narrative is that the movie is told from the point of view of the "villain" of the story./ How Hollywood can invest more than 80MM dollars and not improve the script first? Lately, we have so many movies (and winner movies) with weak scripts; starting with "Coda" which was too in the nose. This phenomenon shows a big red light on the industry.
Clyde Cooper (2018)
This modern Film Noir was so fun to watch!
I loved this modern film-noir. It's highly recommended. As mysteries go, this movie is pretty effective one. It is entertaining, and detective Cooper is very enjoyable. The big puzzle at the center of the film is revealed towards the end, and Cooper has a real funny inner monologue there. It was fun to watch!
