The Punisher (2017)
Disappointed
I am a huge Punisher fan. Thanks to his time on The Walking Dead, I am also a big fan of Jon Bernthal. I try to watch anything he is acting in.
This one, however, is a slow burn and repetitive in its flashback memories. It got really old, fast and I was not able to force myself to finish the second episode. I just simply quit watching.
Because I love this actor, I might wander back and try to go through the whole series but I feel bad for him. He's a great actor and does well in this series too, but the script sucks, the story line is sorely lacking and knowing there are 11 more episodes that I am missing because of it, bothers me.
If you're expecting a lot of action, right away, don't bother. It won't happen like that.
Looking Glass (2018)
Slow burn but good
This one had me questioning whether I was done with Cage movies. He's usually pretty weird but he was more so in this one, but it paid off to stick with the movie until the end.
Don't pay attention to slhma-86182's review of this movie. There are answers if you understand English and you're not bitter for some reason.
I was left with a few unanswered questions but chalked it up to people just being plain old strange.
The whole story and its plot work well enough to give this one a minimum of 7 out of 10.
Bad Girls: Christmas Special (2005)
Christmas Evil, meets Halloween, meets cheese
Hokey haunted Christmas episode. Fun watch if you like amateur theater. I think the writers and directors were confused as to what this episode would be about.
One wanted a Halloween haunt, the other a Christmas miracle. Put them together and you have a Christmas exorcism.

Trumping Democracy (2017)
Should be labeled as drama or science fiction
I don't see the documentary side of this propaganda movie. I'm not even American and I can see what a whitewash this is.
Interesting story telling though, if you remind yourself, it's just that. Stories.
Kyle XY (2006)
Loved the show, some of the actors, not so much
First off, great story that had tons of potential but they simply never went there.
I suppose I'm not surprised this show only lasted 3 seasons. One of the main actors Lori (played by April Matson), supposedly a teen turned out to be a 25 year old I actually thought was 30ish. She looked way too old for the part.
Main character Kyle (played by Matt Dallas) had all the makings of a sexy star, but his passion was flat. It's like he didn't like his girlfriend's character or the actress herself. His kisses were far from romantic and never left us wanting for more. He was also in his 20's, as were most of the teens in this show. If I didn't know better, I'd say he's either a chaste of the highest order, or gay...maybe worried about a real life jealous girlfriend. He just doesn't come off as passionate and romantic.
Wasted characters who could have been better played by actual teenagers.
American Gothic (2017)
Surprisingly good!
I saw the low ratings this movie got, but decided to check it out, just in case.
No idea how the time flew by so fast, but the next thing you know, the credits were running.
That alone should be a good indicator of the movie's promise of entertainment.
The story is simple, contains no shocking surprises but still worth the attention it deserved.
Don't listen to naysayers, they know not what they speak of.
Check it out.
Lake Mungo (2008)
Worth a minimum of 8 out or 10
Part of me wants to give this one a 10 out of 10, however, I don't like documentaries much.
That said, for a MOCKUMENTARY, this was a very, very good movie. I actually watched the whole thing, which rarely happens in documentaries of dead people.
It's worth the watch. Bravo to these film makers! Well done!
Savage Vengeance (1993)
This should be remade
This movie was likely made by a couple of drunk people who met in a bar. It's that bad. First time I see women get raped with their pants and nylons on. hahaha! It's pretty stupid in the execution department. No special effects to convince anyone that anything happened. The story itself is promising but you'll be disappointed if you watch this one.
I like violence and gore. I won't lie. I especially love tales of retribution/revenge.
This is very similar to the I Spit On Your Grave franchise but promises to be even more violent. I just wish it had delivered.
Anyone out there up for filming a remake of this one?
Amityville Exorcism (2017)
Movie made with cellphone cam
Someone decided to see what would happen if they got some family members and friends together to put on a play using either their cellphone to film, or a cheap video camera.
End of story.
Sorry....there is no story.
The Amityville Haunting (2011)
Couldn't give this one a 0
Found footage videos have overstayed their welcome, in my opinion.
I can't believe I forced myself to watch the whole damn thing!! This is probably to lamest film to date and I can't even applaud the effort.
If the acting weren't so terrible, especially the dad and son characters, it might have earned a 2.
Nothing scary or believable in this movie, whatsoever. Fast forward to the last 5 minutes and you'll be good.
It Stains the Sands Red (2016)
A 10 from me
This movie was even better than I expected and I was expecting a lot. The synopsis teases you but it doesn't give the whole picture.
When you actually start watching it, there's no way, you'll walk away until it's over. It's that good.
The acting, especially Molly's character was bang on, funny and intense when needed.
Definitely a movie to add to your watch list. You won't regret it one bit.
Worry Dolls (2016)
I'll make this short and sweet
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
It kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end.
It left room for a sequel.
Not sure why this movie was rated an overall 4.9.
You'll not be wasting your time, watching this one.
Law of Perdition (2017)
Waste of time you'll never get back...
I could barely make it through the first episode, which did not have an ending good enough to make me want to see the next episode. Someone else stated in their review that the performance of Andrew Hunsicker was incredible. They are right in one respect. He is an incredibly boring and unlikable actor on this show; both by his acting skills and looks. He looks like an old, very old "has been" that I still fail to see as a lead character in any production.
He seemed to have trouble with his American accent and at times sounded way more British than American. He needs to pick one and stick with it.
The show is boring, moves at an incredibly slow pace and I mean SNAIL pace. It's not well thought out in the sense that we don't learn anything about the main victim in the first episode and I had to fast forward through the second episode to try to understand what the point of this new series was going to be. It just did not grab my attention and whoever gave the main actor (Andrew) great reviews, MUST BE RELATED to him in some way.
I love giving new television series a watch. Most of the time, you get caught up in the first episode, somehow. Even if, at first, it seems you won't like it, something happens to grab enough interest to make you want to watch the 2nd, 3rd or more episodes. This time there is NOTHING there.
Don't waste time on this one. I promise, it sucks!
