The Hangover Part III (2013)
Hella underrated
This movie is way better then the Hangover part 2 in my opinion. It's funny, original, and thrilling. I get why people don't like it as it is really different for a hangover film, but I thought it was genuinely good. This is a hidden gem in my opinion and I don't get all the hate for it. Once again the cast shines and the writing is great, Todd Phillips did not disappoint and I'll always wonder why this is the most hated out of the three as I thought this was much better then part 2 as it wasn't just a copy and paste of the first film but in Thailand. If you go into it knowing it's not going to be like the first I think you'll like it.
8/10, surprisingly underrated.
Avatar (2009)
Mediocre at best
Ya I get that this was incredible cgi for its time and I get that it's visually stunning. But the story is just not there for me, I feel like most of this movie was just a filler. To be fair I rated this a 5/10 when I watched it in 3D, I couldn't imagine how boring and unnecessary I would have thought this movie was if I saw it in 2D. Really, I don't get how so many people love Avatar, the only thing that kept me from turning it off of boredom was the visually stunning 3D. A lot of people talk about the moral message which is a good message, yet that doesn't save it from just being a boring movie in the end.
5/10 and that's including the 3D.
The Out-Laws (2023)
Over the top yet entertaining
Coming from someone who loves over the top comedies, this what just ok. A lot of plot holes were fixed with fairly lazy writing and it was more unrealistic then any bank heist comedy I've ever seen. Yet I had a good time, it wasn't good by any means, but it wasn't bad either. It was just a movie. It reminded me of if a worse game night met a better game over man, and I had an alright time what else can I say. If it weren't for the cast this movie would be abominable, but due to the acting I had a couple laughs throughout the film. Would I ever watch it again? Definitely not. Am I disappointed that I watched it, surprisingly no, it kept me entertained. Just be sure that when going into it your aware that it rly is just a ridiculously unrealistic comedy.
Castle Rock: Romans (2018)
7.5 A creative ending, but probably not what most wanted
This is a you decide type of ending
I didn't know how I felt about the season finale of Castle Rock at first. The episode before revealed a lot and I enjoyed it quite a bit, so I had super high hopes for this episode. And now that I'v had some time, I gotta say that I really liked it. The protagonist to me was The Kid as he was trying to leave to prevent suffering to the town of Castle Rock, and I was mad that he had to be locked up again. And then I thought about it more and I realized a lot . He was evil. It's so obvious he's lying in the last episode I realized. He said something like " if you believe me" and then he takes Henry to the woods and turns into a monster type thing (which is proof he's evil). And then he got locked back in the cage and made his eye lazy (which pennywise does who's evil) and did a smile at the end. What do you think happened? He was going to kill Henry in the woods and continue killing people or he was telling the truth.
Nathan for You: Gas Station/Caricature Artist (2013)
Honestly, Nathan Fielder is a Comedy Genius
Yep, this episode is the first of many that will have you laughing from beginning to end. This episode is still full of the cringe type humour you'd expect from Nathan fielder, but this is when the show adds the originality. This to me is the first episode that's both hilarious and genuinely smart. There are two segments which are both entertaining but manipulative. The gas station segment to me is one of the most entertaining sequences in all of Nathan for you. This show really just shows you how easy it is to manipulate people on live television in hysterical ways, which sounds quite sociopathic, but it's also quite funny so if your into that awkward manipulative comedy then you'll love this episode and lots more to come.
Coraline (2009)
Already a Cult Classic
This movie is almost fifteen years old and is still been constantly talked about by many movie lovers, but why? Well, when I first saw this movie I was five, how did it end? I don't remember because I cried running upstairs out of fear, and was probably traumatized of small doors for years. Until about three years later when I saw it again, and wow it sure is an amazing original piece of cinema. Coraline is definitely one of my most rewatched movies due to the fact that it's so well written. It's one of those movies that have a simple plot/conflict yet executes it so well. My overall review is that it's a creatively dark family movie thats honestly more for the mature viewers.
