Worst Show on Television..........

This show is so badly written, badly acted and badly executed it's amazing they could find any companies willing to pay money for advertising. There are so many lousy shows on TV these days but this one deserves the title of the worst. Daytime soap operas are more believable and better acted.

I still have to come up with 250 more characters to describe how awful this show is. It should have been marketed as a comedy, that would be more believable. Only 143 more characters left to say this show is pathetically and embarrassingly bad. Anyone who finds this show entertaining should consider psychiatric help.

Hit & Run (2021)

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

This show does not end after the 9th episode and it was not renewed by Netflix. I wish I had researched it a bit before I wasted my time on a show that has no conclusion.

Hit & Run is actually a really good show and it's a shame it wasn't renewed. The acting was very good as was the storyline. Netflix has so many lousy shows yet they bailed on this one.

I have no idea why it's even on Netflix as an option. It's like watching a very good movie and having your cable go out with 15 minutes left.

Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time on Hit & Run. You will just be completely unsatisfied at the end.

The Old Man (2022– )

Starts off good, then gets kind of slow.....

Could have been so much better, especially considering the actors involved. First couple of episodes are good. After that it gets really slow, could have been finished sooner.

The Amy Brenneman character really kills the momentum and doesn't add anything to the story.

All in all not bad, but when you have Bridges and Lithgow it should have been fantastic.

Atlantic Crossing (2020)

Could have been so much better.....

The first couple of episodes are excellent. The story of the German invasion into Norway and the royal family's escape is well done. After that it degenerates into a soap opera about the Princess and FDR...... And it's embarrassingly bad.

To think FDR would go to see the Princess after the Pearl Harbor bombing is ludicrous. I imagine the man had a lot more important things going on. Oh, by the way, there were no aircraft carriers at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941... Thankfully. You wouldn't know that watching Atlantic Crossing as they show two of them in port during the bombing.

This show makes FDR look like a slave to his hormone, ignoring his responsibilities to chase the Princess of Norway. He behaves like a teenage boy continuously wanting to take his crush on a car ride. It's silly.

So much possibility, so much material, so much opportunity to make an authentic show about this point in history and they blew it.... Royally.

Project Blue Book (2019–2020)

Season 1 is an 8.... Season 2 is a 4

Should have ended this after season 1. They run out of actual UFO stories to investigate and the show turns into a soap opera. It becomes slow and boring and next to nothing happens episode after episode. I can see why it wasn't picked up for season 3.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)

Not good....

Having been a product of the 80s I never understood the infatuation with this movie. Sure, there are some funny parts. Most of them involve the school secretary, the sister and the principle. The rest is complete boredom and stupidity.

The Spanish Princess (2019–2020)

Slow, Slow.... Slow

I realize it's not historically accurate but the first few episodes were at least entertaining. Midway through episode 6 I looked at my wife and said "nothing has happened the last three shows".

It becomes a soap opera.... Will they get married, won't they get married? Yawn.

Emily in Paris (2020– )

Pretty Good, but....

Just watched season one. Yes, it's a little corny with lots of generalizations and stereotypes. Yet, it's still entertaining and pretty funny at times.

Now for the "but".... About two thirds of the way through the first season they turn Emily from an innocent, young girl just getting out of a long term relationship into someone that will jump into bed with every attractive Frenchman she meets. Typical Netflix.

Vikings (2013–2020)

STOP Watching after Season 4

I'm giving Vikings a 9 rating for the first 4 seasons (Well, most of season 4) and a 5 rating for everything after that.

Do yourself a favor, STOP watching after the sons of Ragnar have their revenge. It goes downhill quickly after that. You will be bored and disappointed.

If you do decide to continue on keep your remote close by. You can fast forward through any scenes involving Floki as he becomes a boring sideshow.

The writing becomes lazy. Vikings start traveling from country to country as if air travel had been invented.

Ivar the Boneless and his weak brothers simply can't hold this story together. The constant infighting becomes tiresome.

Enjoy the first 4 seasons then consider it over. You've been warned!

Carol's Second Act (2019–2020)

Who cast this mess?

If the pilot is any indication this show won't last long. Patti Heaton is surrounded by lousy actors no one has ever heard of. The writing is awful. It's cheesy, really cheesy. A waste of Pattie Heaton's talents.

Derry Girls (2018–2022)

Hilarious!

Funny, clever, well written show. The acting is great. The girls (the boy), the parents, the nun.....laugh out loud funny.

Damages (2007–2012)

Skip Season 5!

The first 4 seasons are pretty good.....I'd rate them an 8.5. I dropped my overall rating to a 7 because season 5 is so awful. It jumps back and forth continuously and has so many side-stories it's hard to figure out what the heck the point of it all is. The ending is simply terrible. It was as if they ran out of time and ideas and just decided to wrap it up and go home.

Young Sheldon (2017–2024)

Gets better with every episode

Great show, something new and different for a change. Each character is funny in their own way and the show doesn't simply rely on young Sheldon. It can be sweet and tender as well......something you can actually watch with your kids in the room and not feel embarrassed.

Splitting Up Together (2018–2019)

Not funny, not clever.....

I gave this show a chance because I like Fischer and Hudson.....but unfortunately it's just not very good. I can't figure out if it's supposed to be a comedy or if it's trying to be cute or what. In reality it's just sad.

If you enjoy shows that attempt to get laughs about sexually involving 14 year olds, or a mother getting it on with a guy she just recently met in front of her home where her children are then this is the show for you.

Sorry, buy I just find it completely disappointing and sad. Not sure how they will be able to sustain this plot line as a series.

The Homesman (2014)

Falls Apart

This movie had potential and starts off strong......then it just falls apart.

SPOILERS!

Are we really to believe that Mary would suddenly want to disrobe and have sex with George out in the cold with the mentally ill women watching? Are we then to believe she would suddenly hang herself? She was the one with the commitment to getting the women to Iowa and she suddenly kills herself? Why? Because she did the dirty? Really makes no sense at all and things just go downhill from there.

Also, you really don't get the feeling that there was a strong bond between Mary and George anyway......this sudden love and respect seems to come out of nowhere.

Could have been a good movie....but it's not.

The Missing (2014–2016)

Season 1

Just finished up season 1. Sadly it didn't finish as well as it started. Like many crime series it starts off strong and interesting, then is slows down, and gets slower, and slower, and slower until you are begging for it to end. Then it ends and you wonder what just happened. It's disappointing when shows like this get lazy about halfway through and just keep stretching it out to fill 8 episodes when it should have been completed in 6.

Remember (I) (2015)

Suspenseful, gripping, humorous and sad!

I wasn't sure what to think of this movie when I started watching it. I had no idea what was coming. It is a fabulous movie from beginning to end. It is definitely a new twist on the subject of WWII, Nazis and the extermination of the Jews. Watch it now and don't talk to anyone who has seen it until you have!

A Night in Old Mexico (2013)

Slow, Boring and Predictable

Let me start off by saying I love Robert Duvall, but this is not one of his better efforts (no fault of his, lousy writing and lousy co-stars). It's his typical "tough old guy" routine on steroids.

The movie starts slow and gets slower. From there it becomes boring and increasingly predictable.

I found myself fast forwarding to get to a point where there was something going on.....and then suddenly I was at the end, thank God.

Skip this one, and keep your love and appreciation of Mr Duvall intact!

Downton Abbey (2010–2015)

Simply Fabulous

One of the best series I have ever watched. The actors are incredible and character development is wonderful throughout each season.

You will love some of them and hate others, and at times you will find yourself loving and hating the same character.

I was sad to see this serious end.
