Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead (2023)

1st half of the movie is pretty good!

Good and interesting take on a zombie movie with the main character essentially enjoying the outbreak, as he doesn't have to go to...work!

It's an interesting and refreshing take! Acting is good, scenario is good, editing and zombies are good.

The main character / actor has something refreshing, showing from his actual positivity & smile in otherwise surprising feature in a zombie movie!

However the second half of the movie goes completely trashy! The scenario becomes flat and we are greeted by a zombie...shark! The scenario starts becoming goofy (in a bad way), and the movie becomes completely trash.

1st half of the movie: 7/10 2nd half of the movie: 3/10 (essentially "watch when drunk"). Such a shame!

The Bachelor 3 (2018)

Could be good, but the product placement RUINS it

Actors are good, direction fine, scenario also fine. But seeing every couple of minutes product placements it's exhausting!

They put it everywhere! Eating pasta? Brand there. Drinking vodka. Brand there. Moving as person, zoom on the watch. Those add ZERO value to the script, ZERO value to the movie, and are quite tiring!

Foreign movies also do product placement but not at this level! It's like the got half of the budget through that or something.

The previous movies two movies also had product placement, but this takes it to a disgusting level, that made me pause the movie just to write this.

It's a shame.

It could be an ok movie.

Chris Rock: Selective Outrage (2023)

Where are the jokes Chris?

I start getting tired of the latest stand up comedy specials from Netflix, regardless the comedian.

The show starts well, and I am overall happy to hear Chris talk! I like this guys attitude. But around the 30min track he starts talking about his Daughters, but the material isn't funny. No jokes, but just 1-2 stories, which couldn't leave me more bored and un-interested, and this is where is my problem.

Netflix keeps paying these big comedians the past year, who, in my view create un-inspired, boring and un-laughable content. I I honestly do not know how the script was approved by anyone. Cause I imagine these jokes must be tested to someone -like what works or doesn't. On the other hand, I could imagine that the studio and the comedian want authenticity. So maybe that does not even happen, which brings us to this moment: a boring show.

The Man from Rome (2022)

Well written, but

The locations selection are pretty good.

Pretty buildings, areas, churches and hotels. So definitely a good job there.

The script kept me on my seat, but the characters seem a bit weak (which I guess is tricky when making a script from a book).

Some things of course could have been better, including some dialogues. But for me the two things are: spoken languages. Since the movie was in Spain and Italy, I would expect the actors to talk more of those two languages, rather than English. The selection of the American nun was weird to me, as her accent was Spanish. Good actress. But I imagine they have to go by the book. In this case, I would leave the part that she's 'American' out of it.

The fight scenes could be slightly better. Like the choreography and sounding. But not bad nonetheless.

But overall, good cast and movie. I enjoyed it. And it intrigued me about possibly taking a look on the book.

Venicephrenia (2021)

Surprising good

Jumped in the movie without seeing the trailer or reviews.

The first tourist kill surprised me! Kept me on my chair. Completely intrigued from the mask creepy guy. Who was he? Why? Turns out is not that important! But the whole mask thing, not seeing the face of one of the main character, creeped me a lot. Which is why I enjoy this more than i would imagine, having read a synopsis for example.

Furthermore, when the first friend was lost, and nobody can prove he was with them (no photos, no room check-in, no passport), was a great touch!

Towards the end became a bit more flat. But overall good directing, and as a Spanish speaker, good acting and dialogue.

Scenario: ok Directing: good Actors: good Overall, a surprising.

Army of the Dead (2021)

Just a waste of time.

Honestly and unfortunately.

Contemplated for a 4 -like mediocre type.

I ended up, by the end of the movie, at 2 -crap.

I came for the director. But I should have known from the cast and the zombie type, that should be crap. Just wished it will be a bit better.

Cobra Kai (2018–2025)

I really enjoyed the show's 1-2 seasons (YouTube production), as it shown Johnny being a badass and not caring about giving the middle finger and actually even bullying and punching kids.

Seasons 1-2, were quite funny, yet showing a dark (and good) side of Johnny. Season 3, was really focusing on the kids. And therefore being more soft and meh overall (as characters start making out with everyone -wtf).

Anyways. I now stand in the middle. Obviously you have to develop the characters. But who's this show for? Kids or adults? If the latter, stop with the stupid Melo-drama and high school love!

American white privileged girl in a fake, dystopian Paris, where everyone is handsome. Fake bubble. Paris syndrome once again...

The Hunter's Prayer (2017)

Meh. Not refreshing.

Story lacks of depth. It's the same old story. Bad guy becomes good guy. Wins the girl. Kills bad guys. The end.

The Midnight Sky (2020)

A wonderful story when it unfolds

It's not an action film. It's a drama. And it surely delivers from start to finish -doesn't over-complex the plot. Just shows the story and let's you do the thinking. No sad endings. Not overall happy endings (honestly I hate those)!

Rob is as always dumb, but so hilarious! The script & dialogue is actually very refreshing and...stupid, yet very funny (although sometimes just stupid :p).

Also the score of the show is pretty good.

Tiger King (2020–2021)

Sure it's interesting, but not for more than an hour or so episode. Eventually it comes down to trashy people. We shouldn't give these people more attention... especially when wildlife is involved.

The Defenders (2017)

Too slow for a tv series. 8 episodes for no reason. No storyline. Just boring dialogues that we literally we were skipping forward multiple times! The sound and visual effects teams were great. Daredevil character great, Luke cake very good, Jessica Jones ok, iron fist: bad Dialogues and storyline as mentioned: very bad I don't understand why. This could have been very good. But it seems like the rushed everything with the script.
