Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Those Old Scientists (2023)
Too annoying!
I wish I could understand the other reviews but I found this episode incredible annoying!!!
While I haven't watched the other show so going into this episode I had no idea about the other characters I certainly won't watch it now!!! The two characters from the crossover were so annoying, immature, my husband and I wanted to turn the episode off several times!!! It didn't help I had a headache but those two didn't make it any better! They were one note characters and I couldn't wait for the episode to be over. I'm only will writing because for some reason our reviews on IMDb have to be ridiculously lengthy!
Found (2023)
Get rid of the lead actress that can't act!
While I like the premise of the show and the twist with who's in the basement, the lead actress not only can't act she's extremely unlikeable! She has no empathy for anyone but herself. Instead of being a strong woman she is just rude, dismissive and treats everyone around her like crap!
The cop,who apparently they had a fling together before they have zero chemistry with and she treats him so awful yet he follows her around like a puppy dog. Why does he like her?!
Mark Paul Gosselar is by far the best of the show but why isn't anyone wondering why he hasn't aged a day in over twenty years while the lead actress has?!!
Please get rid of her and the show will be so much better!!!
Chevalier (2022)
Hollywood dumbing down history
Why does Hollywood bother using something that really happened in history and almost completely changing it to suit their agenda?
Chevalier had a very interesting life and yet this movie takes a very small part of it and even that they make up most of it!
So many things they changed such as how his parents really treated him including his father's will just to cause the audience to have more sympathy for a character that in my opinion at least wasn't very likeable. He was pretty much one note, arrogant! I'm sure had Hollywood bothered with substance over style this movie would have been so much better! Watch Amadeus instead! So disappointed in this movie. The golden age of Hollywood is really over!
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: The Elysian Kingdom (2022)
Fun episode but get rid of Ortegas!
It always takes a while for a new series and a cast this size to feel like a real ensemble cast. However this episode left me feeling beyond a shadow of a doubt that Melissa Navis is a terrible actress. Before this episode I couldn't stand the character or her acting but attributed this largely to the writers and directors fault. But in an episode where the characters are all different than their usual self she plays the same exact part as she does in every other episode. Herself!!!!!! Her acting is wooden, stale. I've seen soap opera actors with a wider range! I have nothing against her personally but they need to get rid of her as every scene she is in she ruins. The other actors made this episode fun and different and gave them a totally different side to portray. For that part I enjoyed.
FBI: Sins of the Past (2023)
Enough of Jubal already!
We've been watching FBI since the beginning and while it improved with time this season has really gotten on my nerves! As others reviewers have already mentioned many many times, the music is way too loud and overpowers the dialogue almost the whole episode!
And while we liked Jeremy Sisto in the original Law and Order, his character is getting beyond irritating. While he's always shouted from the beginning all of a sudden this season he's the hero of almost every storyline! Is he a field agent or an office guy? Is he an undercover cop or what?! All the other agents seem to take a back seat to him and after several years of this show why now? He is way too emotional for the job he has as my review states, enough already!!!!
All Creatures Great & Small: Surviving Siegfried (2022)
Siegfried is my favorite!
We had one job when mankind was created. To take care of the beautiful animals that live on this earth. What has been done to these precious creatures through history is appalling. The respect Siegfried showed to that beautiful horse brought tears to my eyes! While the characters are all great in their own right, Siegfried is simply my favorite! He's a very complex character and at times no doubt difficult to deal with and work with but this episode shows what a truly caring person he is under that gruff exterior. I enjoyed the side stories as usual but Siegfried and the horse River were the stars of this episode. Well done!!
All Creatures Great & Small: Second Time Lucky (2022)
Did they have to shoot the cow?!
This show has been one of my all time favorite shows but this episode was so disappointing! I get with the timing of the Second world war coming that there is some foreshadowing going on but the whole episode seemed bleak and dark.
I understand life on a farm also includes death but on an episode that included the wedding couldn't they have waited till the next episode for shooting an animal?
And I get wanting a small wedding but it was almost depressing that hardly anyone was there! Doesn't Helen have any friends?
I sincerely hope this season gets better. I was looking so forward to this episode but feel so let down.
