AmeriGeddon (2016)
Acting not so good, premise, possible
I will contend the acting was not great. I read some reviews saying how impossible the content was.
Of course those reviews were by people who actually believe the government has the citizen's best interest in mind.
The truth is, an EMP is possible. Our national grid has weaknesses just as our internet does. Russian hackers already tapped in to fuel delivery and food distribution facilities.
Before you scoff at the premise of this movie, do some research. This is entirely possible.
Nocturnal Animals (2016)
Well worth watching....if properly prepared!
I have never written a movie review before. I also had never heard of Tom Ford or Austin Wright. With that said I went into this movie totally unbiased and based on recommendation by co workers.
After seeing the movie I decided to check out IMDb and see the quotes, goofs, trivia and whether it was a screen play or based on a book. From what I have found out about the book, the movie works closely with the overall theme of it.
This time I also chose to read reviews about the movie. And there is such a wide range of opinion from no stars to ten stars with lots of both positive and negative reviews. For those who rated it negatively, based on their comments, I would think that they might not have understood the plot nor the subplot of the movie. You have to look deep within the movie and understand the plot and purpose of the film.
No, it's not the best movie I have ever seen but based on Hollywood's overexposure of super heroes, science fiction and unrealistic fantasy plots they produce, this was a good, solid thriller that although might not have left me sitting on the edge of my seat, it did open my mind to see the subplots intended. I won't say much else because I could spoil it, but think closely about the characters and what they represented and think closely about the underlying messages within the story and enjoy the movie.
This movie is an intellectual thriller and you must have a little higher intellect to really understand it.
