Ted Lasso (2020)
Stop after season 2.
The first two seasons of Ted Lasso were absolutely hilarious. I expect a left lean to media these days and, while I don't always agree, I don't mind it. However, season three is simply a leftist ethics class. Originally a fast paced comedy with thirty minute episodes of wall to wall laughs, season three takes an hour per episode to force its values down your throat and might contain two or three laughs the entire time. It's a complete genre change. Atrocious. A wonderful show has been turned to utter trash. I'll probably not watch the rest of season three but I may give season four a look (assuming there is one) to see if the show has recovered at all. I hope they'll get it back on course.
This Is Us (2016)
Went from my favorite show to unwatchable garbage in 1 episode.
What a let-down. TIU was my respite; not any more. I'm *so* disappointed with how racial unrest resulted in a segregated final scene in episode 5:1 - black Pearsons and white Pearsons separated and, according to Randall, not in need of each other. These people are family. How is it that at such a tumultuous time, rather than embrace each other, they are divided? It doesn't feel natural. That's not how a family would act. And if racial barriers can't be overcome in a multiracial family, what hope does society have of solving them?
What a bleak, depressing and (I hope) incorrect picture of humanity episode 5:1 painted. I watched TIU to restore my faith in humanity and see flawed people do their best to love each other. I don't want the Pearsons reduced to a microcosm of dysfunctional society. They should continue to be an example for society to follow. I know they've never been portrayed as perfect, but they're better than this.
Hillbilly Elegy (2020)
The bad reviews are politically motivated
Art should be judged by assessing how well it achieves what it tries to achieve. This movie is what it tries to be. If you don't like what it depicts, that doesn't mean it's a bad movie. It just means it isn't your cup of tea. The bad reviews are by coastal leftists who don't care about the people who live in "fly over" states.
This is an excellent movie. If you want to learn something about a culture that's little understood by leftist elites, this movie will give you a lot of insight.

My favorite show is ruined.
