Guys, I was around 18 when I saw this movie in the cinema. I was bored and didnt know what this movie was all about.

Now I just saw it recently and I came to the conclusion that this is an absolute master peace. This is godfather, casino, heat level. Just stunning and cinematic master peace!

Just the pace and music and poetic way of telling the story. I never saw a war movie that made me feel what soldiers must have felt and what war is about. Thanks for this. This is the complete opposite of masters of the air Just the couple of minuted of Sean Penn or Nick Nolte, epic!!!! So I can recomment to rewatch it and take your time.

I never understand why this is not a miniseries with 6-8 episodes. A little more budget and content did this legend diserve. HBO, ur sleepwalking not buying the story. I thought ur desperately looking for good scripts.

You could make 3 hours only for rumble in the jungle plot.

BTW Same with the Michael Schuhmacher docu. His career has 20 hours in the tank, and they make 2 hours...

Anyway, enjoyd it. Wasnt bored the whole movie. Condensed in 2h. The only thing missing, how fearful Big George was before going in the ring with Ali. Alot of serious Analyst were afraid of Alis life.

And George, I love urgrill!!!

Story is lightweight - fair enough - but what I enjoy is what many Sandler movies have and us not everyones cup of tea : It takes its time and has a slow pace. Enjoyed myself. Adam please less fecal stuff ;)

For me the best Sandler movie. Sandler movies mostly have a very slow pace. I do like it although alot of people dont.

Typical permanent Sandler jokes about fecal stuff which I dont like.

Sandler is basically playing himself here. I enjoyed the pace and emotions if you are open for it which I am.

Every scene a classic! Love It! Just watched it the 5th time in the last 20 years. I know a movie is good when I dont mind rewatching it!
