Luther: The Fallen Sun (2023)
Poorly written with so many holes
In every situation- the sloppiest police work and unrealistic reactions and actions from everyone but Luther. What happened to good British writing?
The lack of depth in any sits. The lack of respect from the new dci to luther even when he keeps pointing then in the right direction. Then you want to make it plausible that nobody saw his face while they werr in piccadilly circus with all those eyes on them? How is this even got a 7 imdb rating is a joke.
Really not good if yoi are interested in story continuity and believability. Youll be scratching your head wondering who directed this absolutely not-believable movie.
The Good Doctor (2017)
Good start to show. The rest got too much
Was interesting. But by season 4 things got weird. Every one is just whispering all the time now in the fourth season. Even dr. Glassman always whispers like he is some patient sage. Like... Aalllllll the time.
Outer Banks (2020)
For high school students, but didn't have to be written by high school students
Terrible character responses to things. Kids constantly getting themselves into trouble by making the worst decisions at the worst possible times. Unimaginable personality or situations. Kids outrunning federal law enforcement. Yeah sure thing.
The actual premise of the story is good, but as always the dialogues lack any depth but many outbursts and overtures. God they had a Fighting chance to make it a good show. Then they took cookie cutter corny dialogues and obvious missteps that every story has. And make it seem bigger than it is. I just..... Keep finding myself rolling my eyes till all you see is white.
Manifest (2018)
Great premise, absolutely terrible production n directing
How do these producers or directors get their jobs??? The dialogues, the stupidity of the characters in every single situation... I just can't. None of it makes any sense on how they act or what they do and when they make the absolute most obvious large mistakes that ruin any situation. No wonder it got cancelled...
Treme (2010)
Loved the show. Didn't care for certain parts
They made the Asians so one dimensional. Annie T was a helpless China doll. Literally she said it herself on the first or second season. She was just the "nice girl" with not much character at all. Other than being a nice lay to whichever guy, she only basically had one dimension. Same as Linh. They almost touched on the Vietnamese influence and history. Other than karaoke and Pho eating and shrimping.
The police angle was good. But yeah I wish it had more to it.
Lupin (2021)
Season 2 is so terrible
Situationally, why would a cop hand over a criminal's son to politicians and stuff? There are so many story holes in this one compared to the first season. Just terrible directing. Needs a "realist" engineer for continuity.
Bronx (2020)
The whole premise of the movie sucks.
It's just another exercise of a European film that each scenario and situation is not believable. For example: Taking a prisoner to his wife's hospital bed before transferring him to high security upon prisoner's request. Then the transport leader is seen with a long tear in his eye whwn he hears their shallow 2 sentence conversation. Weak....
It's just an attempt at being a cool gangster and corrupt cops movie but with an underdeveloped plot. Situations that don't make sense. Etc etc. It's a waste of time.
Lost Cities with Albert Lin (2019)
Could be such a good show....
So much of the camera focus is on the host and not on the views he's looking at. He is always the center of attention. His face is always half of the tv. I don't hate the guy at all. And I'm glad an Asian guy is getting camera time. But the main focus should be on tbe cities; not on him.
After you read this comment, go watch an episode and tell me you don't notice it.... I dare you.
Enola Holmes (2020)
Standard story, lazy writing. okay for kids.
Not one emotion was felt when seeing Enola cry anytime. She being such a strong, smart, and independent girl, she cries at the very slightest yell by Mycroft. Like she really just crumbles and cries. I never would want to see a strong female role succumb so easily and so often. I wanted to like this so much. I am a fan of Millie, so I was disappointed the directing and production fell short.
No real story development. Henry Caville was useless in it. Story holes galore.
